We are unable to accept applications from individuals who require a visa to work in the UK.OverviewCompass Associates is proud to be recruiting a Centre Manager for a respected national provider of addiction treatment and recovery services, to lead a well-established, large-bed residential rehab service in Luton.The organisation offers tailored, person-centred and holistic care, supporting adults through detox and structured recovery programmes. The centre is rated Good by the CQC.The RoleAs Centre Manager, you will lead the centre team, including support workers, therapists, housekeeping, catering and admin. The service is private and mainly self-funded, supporting adults with alcohol and substance dependency through a 12-step programme, with short-term stays. You will bring stability and consistency to the centre, build trust and a positive culture with the team, keep occupancy strong, and hold the CQC registration for the service as Centre Manager. You will report to senior management.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, support and develop the centre team, including support, therapy and ancillary staffOversee day-to-day operations, including admissions, discharges, rotas and shift coverEnsure compliance with CQC standards, internal governance and company policyTake responsibility for medication administration and audits, and ensure staff training is up to dateManage the centre budget in partnership with the finance teamLead recruitment, supervisions and performance management, including disciplinaries where neededMaintain strong relationships with commissioners, referrers and local recovery communitiesHold the CQC registration for the service as Centre ManagerUse care systems for day-to-day recording, rotas and auditsRequirementsExperience managing or deputising in a substance misuse or recovery service; mental health experience will be considered alongside addiction knowledgeAround 3 years’ experience in a management roleKnowledge of the 12-step model is highly desirableLevel 5 in Leadership and Management is preferred, or a willingness to work towards it; Level 3 is the minimumStrong understanding of CQC regulations and complianceA humble, approachable and accountable leadership style, and the resilience to bring change to an established teamEnhanced adult DBS (or willingness to obtain one)Driving licence and own vehicle preferredBenefitsSalary of £45,000 – £50,000 per annum28 days annual leave, including bank holidays and your birthdayPerformance-related bonus, linked to centre KPIsNEST pension schemeFully funded Level 5 qualification after probationOn-site parkingLaptop providedBlue Light Card, with discounts on thousands of retailersProgression to Regional Operations Manager in a growing organisationWorking PatternMonday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with some flexibilityFully on site at the centreOn-call rota, roughly one week in fourOccasional early, late or weekend cover when requiredRecommendationsCompass Associates Ltd is acting as a Recruitment Consultancy for this permanent vacancy; we offer £200 in John Lewis vouchers or a £200 charity donation for each successful recommendation.
