With both in-person and tele-health visits, convenient hours, and a focus on long-term wellness, High Five Care is dedicated to accessible, community-centered healthcare.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Certified Medical Assistant role based in Richmond, TX. The Certified Medical Assistant will support providers by preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, updating medical histories, and assisting with examinations and in-office procedures. Daily responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, performing basic clinical tasks such as injections and specimen collection, and ensuring accurate documentation in medical records and electronic health systems. The role also involves scheduling appointments, verifying patient information, supporting tele-health visits, and promoting a welcoming, patient-centered experience. The Certified Medical Assistant will collaborate closely with clinicians and administrative staff to maintain efficient operations and high-quality care.QualificationsStrong clinical support skills in Medical Assisting and Patient Care, including vital signs, injections, specimen collection, and assisting with procedures.Working knowledge of Medical Terminology to communicate effectively with clinicians and accurately document patient information.Experience in a Medical Office environment, including scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and coordination of tele-health and in-person visits.Proficiency in handling Medical Records, including accurate charting, EHR use, and maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced primary care setting.Commitment to compassionate, inclusive patient care and a team-oriented approach to supporting the community’s health needs.
