Job Summary and QualificationsPosition Summary:The Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA), or the Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) assists the surgeon in exposure, hemostasis, and many other technical functions during the surgical procedure. He or she initiates appropriate intra-operative behaviors unique to first assisting. He or she applies knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology, and operative techniques relative to operative procedures. Maintains a sterile field.What qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date(CSA) Certified Surgical Assistant through the NSAA (National Surgical Assistant Association) (CSFA) Certified Surgical First Assistant through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)No Travel RequiredExperience Required, Call Required
