The Certified Medical Assistant will support clinicians by preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, reviewing medications, and documenting patient histories in the medical record. Daily responsibilities include assisting with examinations and minor procedures, administering injections as permitted, performing basic laboratory tests, and ensuring that equipment and supplies are properly stocked and sanitized. The role also involves coordinating patient flow, managing phone calls, scheduling appointments, and supporting front-office tasks in the medical office as needed. The Certified Medical Assistant will work closely with providers and other staff to promote efficient, safe, and compassionate patient care.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Medical Assisting skills, including clinical and administrative support in a primary care setting.Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately communicate and document patient information.Candidates should possess experience in a Medical Office environment, including scheduling, phone communication, and front-desk support.Candidates should possess Patient Care skills focused on compassionate, respectful, and safe interaction with individuals and families.Candidates should possess proficiency in handling Medical Records, including electronic health records (EHR), documentation, and privacy compliance.Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are preferred.Strong interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting.Experience in family medicine or primary care and familiarity with vaccine administration and routine procedures is beneficial.
