Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs and medical histories, preparing exam rooms, and assisting medical providers with examinations and procedures. The role also involves managing patient flow, updating and organizing medical records, handling basic laboratory tasks such as specimen collection, and performing point-of-care tests as allowed by certification and policy. The Medical Assistant will support the front office with scheduling, check-in/check-out, and verifying patient information as needed, while maintaining strict infection-control standards and patient confidentiality. This position requires effective communication with patients and the care team, professional conduct, and a commitment to accurate, timely documentation.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Medical Assisting skills, including supporting examinations, procedures, and basic clinical tasks.Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately understand and document provider instructions and patient information.Candidates should possess experience in a Medical Office environment, including scheduling support, patient check-in/check-out, and coordination with clinical staff.Candidates should possess Patient Care skills focused on compassionate, safe, and respectful interactions with individuals of diverse backgrounds.Candidates should possess proficiency in handling Medical Records, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, data entry, and confidentiality practices.Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) from an accredited program.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification or willingness to obtain within a defined time frame.Strong communication, time management, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and reliability in a fast-paced clinical setting.Ability to stand, walk, and perform clinical tasks throughout the day, and to follow infection-control and safety protocols consistently.Prior experience in an outpatient or integrative medicine clinic is beneficial but not required.
