Team members join a mission-driven environment focused on quality, accessible care for diverse communities.Role Description The Certified Medical Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Kansas City, MO. This role supports clinicians by preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, updating patient histories, and assisting with procedures and treatments. Daily responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, managing scheduling and check-in tasks, and maintaining accurate medical records and documentation in the electronic health record system. The Certified Medical Assistant provides direct patient care such as patient education, follow-up instructions, and basic clinical support under supervision. The role also involves maintaining clinical supplies, adhering to infection control and safety protocols, and collaborating with the care team to support a patient-centered experience.Qualifications Clinical support skills, including Medical Assisting and Patient Care competencies.Knowledge of Medical Terminology for effective communication in a clinical setting.Experience in a Medical Office environment, including front- and back-office workflows.Ability to accurately manage and update Medical Records, preferably in an EHR system.Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or equivalent) credential and BLS/CPR certification.Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with a focus on patient-centered care.Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting, prioritize tasks, and follow established protocols.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, cultural responsiveness, and professional conduct.
