A collaborative culture helps clinicians and support staff focus on medicine while providing coordinated, compassionate care to the community.Role Description The Certified Medical Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in the San Antonio, Texas Metropolitan Area. The Medical Assistant supports urology providers by rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures. Daily responsibilities include assisting with in-office procedures, administering injections and specimen collection as permitted by certification, and ensuring accurate, timely entry of medical information into the electronic health record. The role also involves managing patient calls, coordinating referrals, processing prescription requests, and supporting front-office workflows such as scheduling and check-in when needed. The Medical Assistant contributes to maintaining a safe, clean clinical environment, reinforcing patient education, and promoting a respectful, inclusive care experience for all individuals.Qualifications Strong Medical Assisting skills, including routine clinical procedures, vital signs, and support for in-office treatments.Knowledge of Medical Terminology relevant to urology and general adult care.Experience working in a Medical Office setting, with familiarity in scheduling, patient flow, and front/back office coordination.Proficient in Patient Care activities such as patient intake, education, and maintaining privacy and dignity.Ability to manage Medical Records accurately within electronic health record systems, following HIPAA and clinic policies.Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) credential and BLS/CPR certification.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical environment.Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to patient-centered, non-discriminatory care.Previous experience in urology or another specialty clinic is preferred but not required.
