Centennial Surgery Center offers a supportive environment for surgical professionals seeking to grow their skills and contribute to a dedicated care team.Role Description The Certified Scrub at Centennial Surgery Center LLC is responsible for preparing operating rooms, ensuring appropriate instruments and supplies are available, and maintaining a sterile field throughout surgical procedures. Day-to-day tasks include setting up surgical trays, assisting the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies, counting sponges and instruments, and following strict infection control and safety protocols. The role also involves collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff, documenting relevant information, and helping with room turnover and equipment care. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nashville, TN, requiring reliability, attention to detail, and strong teamwork skills.Qualifications Current certification as a surgical technologist or equivalent scrub certification from an accredited program.Demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique, infection prevention, and operating room safety practices.Experience assisting in a variety of surgical procedures and familiarity with surgical instruments and equipment.Strong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff.Ability to remain focused and organized in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.Basic computer skills for documentation and familiarity with electronic health record systems.Current BLS certification; additional clinical certifications are a plus.Prior experience in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital operating room is preferred.
