It might be the best decision you make this year.Job Description New Hope’s Education Department has an immediate opening for a Special Education Certified Teacher. This position provides appropriate education for children enrolled in our on-site, accredited school.Full Time – 40 hours per weekSchedule: Monday – Friday Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Providing a quality and differentiated education experience for every studentDemonstrating subject matter knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching studentswith a variety of disabilitiesProviding a safe and therapeutic classroom environmentData collection including grades, assessments, and student portfoliosCollaborating with legal guardians, multi-disciplinary team members, andother stakeholdersDesigning and implementing student learning plans including IEPs and 504sCompleting required paperwork and meeting deadlinesParticipating in professional development and required trainings to maintainS.C. teacher licensure Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in education or related areaCurrent state teaching certification in Special EducationProfessional verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, online gradebooks and learning management systems
