White Rock Medical Center is committed to providing every person who comes through its doors with personalized, attentive service and a strong sense of community.Role Description The Certified Surgical Technologist is a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas, TX. This role is responsible for preparing operating rooms for procedures, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and available, and assisting the surgical team before, during, and after surgery. Daily responsibilities include setting up surgical trays, passing instruments and supplies during procedures, maintaining aseptic techniques, and helping with patient positioning and draping. The role also involves collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff, adhering to hospital policies and safety standards, and supporting efficient workflow and high-quality patient outcomes within the operating room.Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Surgical Technology, including sterile technique, instrumentation, and equipment handling.Experience working in an Operating Room environment, with knowledge of workflow, safety protocols, and perioperative practices.Skills in Surgical Assisting, including passing instruments, anticipating surgeon needs, and supporting procedural efficiency.Foundational understanding of Medicine and Surgery relevant to surgical procedures, patient care, and clinical terminology.Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (such as CST) and compliance with state licensure requirements, if applicable.Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and position patients or equipment safely, and respond quickly in urgent situations.Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to patient safety and respect for diverse colleagues and patients.Previous hospital or acute care surgical experience preferred.
