With ambitious plans to significantly grow their Dallas office through the remainder of 2026 and beyond, this is an opportunity to join early and have genuine influence over the development of the local team and wider CFD offering.What Makes the Business Different?Exceptional growth: 500%+ growth in just over two years, with a clear plan for continued national expansion.Join at the ground floor in Dallas: The Dallas office is newly established, creating significant scope to influence its technical capabilities and future growth.Entrepreneurial environment: The business is still highly connected to its founders, who remain closely involved in both the direction of the company and its culture.Strong company culture: Regular office breakfasts, monthly social events and a genuine emphasis on building a collaborative team environment.High-quality technical work: Exposure to complex, technically challenging mission-critical projects where advanced engineering analysis has a meaningful impact on project outcomes.Clear growth trajectory: Significant headcount growth planned across the existing offices, alongside further expansion into additional markets over the next 6–8 months.The RoleThe CFD Specialist will perform advanced computational analysis to solve physics-based engineering problems relating to indoor and outdoor airflow, thermal comfort, heat transfer and contaminant dispersion.The role will strengthen the company's analytical and simulation capabilities through detailed modelling, research, process improvement and cross-disciplinary collaboration.Working closely with mechanical, electrical and project management teams, you will independently manage CFD analysis while contributing to technically complex projects within mission-critical environments.Key ResponsibilitiesUtilize CFD tools to analyse building airflow, thermal comfort, heat transfer and contaminant dispersion.Develop and improve analytical workflows, modelling procedures and best practices.Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve the efficiency and accuracy of CFD analysis.Stay current with developments in CFD, building mechanical systems and related engineering technologies.Prepare technical reports, modelling summaries and client-facing presentations to clearly communicate findings.Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle.Independently manage analysis tasks, deadlines and project deliverables.Apply engineering judgement and analytical thinking to develop practical solutions to complex building-performance challenges.Required Skills & ExperienceStrong understanding of Computational Fluid Dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer and building mechanical systems.Proven ability to deliver high-quality technical work within project deadlines.Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.Strong technical documentation and presentation skills.Experience with Cadence, FloEFD, TileFlow or comparable 3D CFD simulation software.Strong Microsoft Office skills.Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.3+ years of relevant experience in CFD, building physics or building mechanical systems.Experience with CFD platforms such as FloEFD, Cadence, STAR-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent, FDS, OpenFOAM or 6SigmaRoom.Familiarity with developing User Defined Functions (UDFs) for commercial CFD software.Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++ or Java is highly desirable.Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and manage technical work effectively.A strong interest in continuous improvement, technical innovation and engineering excellence.Benefits & Working EnvironmentHybrid WorkingPerformance bonus 10% - 25% of baseHealthcare & dental: Premiums covered by the company for the employee, spouse and dependents.Strong PTO PackagesRegular office breakfasts and monthly team social events.Opportunity to join a rapidly growing business at an early stage of its Dallas expansion.Genuine opportunity for progression as the Dallas office and wider business continue to scale.Physical RequirementsAbility to work for prolonged periods sitting at a desk and using a computer.Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.The responsibilities outlined above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work associated with this position.
