Our client is seeking a strategic, hands-on Chief Financial Officer to partner closely with the CEO, Board, and private equity sponsor. The CFO will lead the finance and accounting organization, strengthen the company’s financial infrastructure, and help drive profitability, cash flow, growth, and long-term enterprise value.The company is entering its next phase of growth, including organic expansion and potential acquisitions. The CFO will therefore play an important role not only in financial stewardship and operating performance, but also in evaluating, executing, financing, and integrating strategic acquisitions.Responsibilities· Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, Board, and private equity sponsor on financial performance, business strategy, capital allocation, and value creation.· Lead all finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, controllership, FP&A, treasury, tax, risk management, and internal controls.· Lead the company’s first annual financial-statement audit and establish sustainable, audit-ready processes and controls.· Direct budgeting, forecasting, and financial analytics, with particular attention to margins, customer and product profitability, inventory, and operating performance.· Strengthen cash-flow forecasting and working-capital management, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory productivity.· Oversee multi-entity financial reporting across the United States and Canada, including consolidations, intercompany accounting, and transfer pricing.· Lead the selection and implementation of a new ERP platform and related finance-process and automation initiatives.· Support potential acquisitions, including financial evaluation, due diligence, transaction financing, financial modeling, and coordination with lenders, investors, advisors, and other transaction participants.· Lead the financial integration of acquired businesses, including accounting, reporting, controls, systems, working capital, budgeting, and performance measurement.· Partner with sales, operations, procurement, and distribution leadership to improve business performance while developing a capable and accountable finance and accounting team.Requirements· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline. CPA and/or MBA preferred.· 12+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 5+ years of serving as a Chief Financial Officer or Vice President of Finance.· Prior experience in a private equity-owned company, including regular interaction with sponsors, boards, and lenders.· Financial leadership experience in distribution, light manufacturing, consumer products, or another inventory-intensive, multi-location business.· Strong command of financial reporting, FP&A, inventory accounting, internal controls, cash management, and working-capital improvement.· Demonstrated experience leading annual audits, ERP implementations, and finance-process improvements. Experience preparing a previously unaudited company for its first audit is particularly valuable.· M&A experience strongly preferred, including experience with acquisition evaluation, financial modeling, due diligence, transaction financing, and post-closing integration. Experience integrating acquired businesses into a common financial reporting, control, and operating infrastructure is particularly desirable.· Ability to operate effectively in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment, combining strategic financial leadership with a willingness to engage directly in the underlying details of the business.BETTER TALENT.
