Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob DescriptionCG Artist - Modelling (Automotive)Location: JP Nagar, BangaloreExperience: 0-2 YearsJob SummaryThe CG Artist will be responsible for building high- and low-poly models using 3D software for real-time applications, games, and rendering.This role involves following specific build methods and production workflows, working independently or collaboratively with other modelers to complete vehicle models based on photography and other reference materials, including CAD data, blueprints, and scan data.The completed work must be highly detailed and accurate, adhere to specified parameters, and be delivered within deadlines. The Artist must also be receptive and responsive to creative direction and feedback from Quality Assurance.Requirements & ResponsibilitiesMust be detail-oriented. This is key to the role. You will ensure your work is accurate, highly detailed, and thoroughly self-QA'd across all aspects, including accuracy, line flow, and project specifications.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reference imagery to create accurate 3D models.Must be team-oriented while also being capable of self-managing and working autonomously when necessary.Strong organizational and time management skills are essential for success in the CG department.Expected to demonstrate flexibility in taking on additional assignments as required.Ability to work within a continually evolving 3D pipeline workflow.Build the highest-quality, highly detailed automotive assets.Willingness to push yourself beyond the stated capabilities by learning new software, adapting to changes in the delivery pipeline, and taking on new projects.Ability to deliver all of the above in a fast-paced, time-critical, and accuracy-driven environment is an absolute requirement.Minimum Qualifications NeededKnowledge & ExperienceProficiency and capability in 3D modelling using Maya or Blender. If you are unfamiliar with the specific software used in production at the time of hire, you will be expected to become proficient in it before the end of the training period.Hard surface modelling is highly desired.Proficiency in UV unwrapping and layout is a plus.Understanding of shading and texturing is a plus.Experience or interest in the automotive industry is a plus.EducationFormal training in 3D model building is highly desired.Additional Application Requirements A current portfolio in video, PDF, or JPEG format, displaying examples of work produced by you or for clients, demonstrating your competency and ability to meet the requirements listed above.
