Clinical professionals joining the organization can expect a supportive setting committed to high standards of care.Role Description The Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing nursing care during each shift. This role coordinates resident care plans, assigns and supervises nursing staff, and ensures that all clinical procedures follow regulatory and facility standards. Daily responsibilities include assessing residents, administering medications and treatments, monitoring changes in condition, and communicating with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members. The Charge Nurse also guides and mentors nursing staff, participates in admission and discharge processes, and helps maintain accurate documentation in medical records. This position plays a key role in promoting a safe environment, maintaining infection control practices, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.QualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Rhode Island and graduation from an accredited nursing program.Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings, with demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate a nursing team.Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and care planning skills, including the ability to respond effectively to changes in resident status.Proficiency in electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation, with attention to regulatory and compliance requirements.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, colleagues, and medical providers in a diverse environment.Ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate tasks appropriately, and maintain composure in fast-paced or emergent situations.Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and quality improvement practices in a nursing facility.24 or 32 hour positions available on 3-11 / 11-7 every other weekends and holidays Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification; additional geriatric or rehabilitation nursing certifications are a plus.
