The Group also has interests in biofuels, microfinance and agriculture.The Company's vision is to be among the leading names in renewables across energy, fuels and alternate materials. It is pursuing capacity expansion and new projects, which makes strong financial leadership central to its next phase.Role purposeThe Accounts Controller owns the complete, end-to-end financials of the Group: accounting, consolidation, controls, audit, taxation, treasury, funding and reporting across every entity. The role combines hands-on control of the numbers with the responsibilities of acting as the Company's Chief Financial Officer.The incumbent will be the single point of accountability for the accuracy, timeliness and compliance of Group financial information, and will report to the management as its close adviser on financial decisions.Key responsibilitiesAccounting, consolidation and reportingOwn the books of account of Pingaksh Renewables and all Group entities, from transaction recording through to finalisation.Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements under the applicable accounting standards and the Companies Act, 2013.Run a disciplined monthly, quarterly and annual close across plant locations and the corporate office.Oversee inter-company and related-party transactions, reconciliations and consolidation eliminations.Internal controls, audit and complianceDesign and maintain internal financial controls, delegation of authority and standard operating procedures across entities.Lead statutory, internal, tax and (where applicable) cost audits, and close audit observations on time.Ensure compliance with company law, tax law and sector regulations, working closely with the Company Secretary.Maintain cost records and plant-level costing for the ethanol and power operations.Treasury, banking and fundingManage cash flow, working capital and liquidity for the Group.Lead relationships with banks and financial institutions, covering term loans, working-capital limits, renewals and covenant reporting.Raise debt and structure project finance for expansion, new projects and acquisitions, including credit-rating management.Monitor receivables from power and ethanol offtakers and payables to grain and other suppliers.TaxationManage direct and indirect tax compliance: income tax, GST, TDS, returns and assessments.Advise on tax-efficient structuring of Group transactions and maintain documentation for related-party dealings.Handle tax litigation and representation before authorities, with external advisers where needed.Budgeting, MIS and business supportPrepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts and business plans for each entity and the consolidated Group.Deliver monthly MIS to the promoters and the Board on profitability, plant performance, variances and cash position.Evaluate new projects, capital expenditure and acquisitions, including review of financial models and project costs.Review commercial contracts, pricing and major procurement proposals from a finance perspective.Acting CFO and governance responsibilitiesAct as the Company's Chief Financial Officer, in addition to the Accounts Controller role.Sign and certify the financial statements, and present financial results to the Board and the Audit Committee.Maintain financial reporting, disclosure and governance practices at the standard expected of a listed company.Advise the Board on financial risk, capital allocation and funding strategy.Capital raising and stakeholder managementLead the finance workstream in fundraising, due diligence and capital-market transactions.Coordinate with merchant bankers, legal counsel, auditors, rating agencies and lenders.Manage insurance cover and financial risks, including interest-rate, commodity and credit exposure.Team and systemsLead and develop the finance and accounts teams at the corporate office and plant locations.Strengthen ERP usage, automation and documentation so that Group numbers are audit-ready at all times.Qualifications and experienceEssentialChartered Accountant (member of ICAI) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience in finance and accounts, including time in a senior role such as Head of Finance, Financial Controller or CFO.Hands-on experience of finalising and consolidating accounts for a multi-entity group.Proven track record in bank funding, project finance and lender management.Strong working knowledge of the Companies Act, 2013, Indian accounting standards, income tax and GST.Experience of leading audits and building internal financial controls.PreferredBackground in manufacturing, power, infrastructure or other process industries.Exposure to a listed company, an IPO or other capital-market transactions, and to SEBI regulations.Experience of ERP implementation or finance process automation.Skills and attributesComplete command of the numbers, with willingness to go into ledger-level detail when needed.High integrity and independence of judgement on accounting and compliance matters.Commercial sense: able to link financial decisions to plant operations and project economics.Clear communication with promoters, the Board, lenders, auditors and regulators.Ability to lead teams across locations and deliver to fixed reporting deadlines.Comfort working in a promoter-led, fast-growing group with several businesses at different stages.
