🚢 We're Hiring: Assistant / Chartering Manager – Atlantic Dry Bulk📍 Location: DubaiA leading international shipping and commodities organisation is looking to appoint an Assistant / Chartering Manager to support the Senior Chartering Manager in managing and developing its Atlantic dry bulk chartering activities.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dry bulk chartering professional looking to take on greater commercial responsibility within a growing international platform.The RoleYou will support the execution and development of chartering activities across the Atlantic market, working closely with shipowners, charterers, brokers, clients and internal operations teams.Key responsibilities will include:• Securing competitive tonnage on both spot and period business and optimising vessel TCEs• Identifying suitable vessels and cargo opportunities across the Atlantic dry bulk market• Conducting voyage estimations, commercial negotiations and supporting the finalisation of charter party terms• Supporting the development and management of COA business• Monitoring commercial performance, earnings and P&L across relevant business activities• Identifying new cargo, COA and business development opportunities• Working closely with Operations on voyage performance, claims and disputes• Supporting market analysis, forecasting and commercial strategy• Maintaining and developing strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, brokers and other market participants• Reporting key market developments, results and commercial opportunities to senior managementWhat We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate will have:- 5+ years of experience in dry bulk shipping, chartering or commercial operations- Proven experience within an international shipowner, ship operator, charterer or similar shipping / trading house organisation- Strong knowledge of dry bulk chartering and voyage/time charter agreements- Experience with voyage estimation, vessel and cargo identification, negotiations and charter party terms- Good understanding of maritime economics, shipping law and dry bulk charter parties- Experience with COAs and/or commercial portfolio management- Strong commercial acumen and an established network across the Atlantic dry bulk market- Excellent communication and negotiation skills- Strong written and spoken EnglishKnowledge of FFA markets and experience with Charterers' P&I and Defence cover would be advantageous.The OpportunityThis role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior commercial leadership while contributing directly to the growth and profitability of a developing Atlantic dry bulk business.The successful candidate will be commercially driven, entrepreneurial and capable of identifying opportunities across both existing and new business relationships.📩 Interested?
