قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجChartering Manager – MarineLocation: Dubai, UAECompany: Sea Horizon Offshore Marine Services (SHM)Employment Type: Full-timeSea Horizon Offshore Marine Services (SHM) is looking for a commercially driven and hands-on Chartering Manager to join our team and lead our chartering activities across the marine sector.The role will focus primarily on identifying chartering opportunities, sourcing suitable third-party tonnage, developing commercially competitive solutions, and negotiating with vessel owners, brokers and clients across offshore, port, towage, transshipment and other marine requirements.We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of the marine vessel market, established industry relationships, and the ability to independently take an opportunity from initial enquiry and vessel sourcing through commercial negotiation and fixture.Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop chartering opportunities across the marine, offshore, port, towage, transshipment and related sectors.- Manage client enquiries and RFQs for spot, short-term and longer-term vessel requirements.- Source suitable vessels from regional and international owners, operators and brokers.- Prepare commercial evaluations, costing and competitive charter proposals.- Negotiate charter rates and commercial terms with vessel owners, brokers and clients.- Manage chartering opportunities from initial enquiry through negotiation, fixture and handover to Operations.- Monitor vessel availability, utilization, prevailing day rates and relevant market developments.- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vessel owners, operators and brokers.- Work closely with SHM's Tender, Operations, Technical and QHSE teams on vessel requirements and commercial opportunities.- Lead and supervise the Chartering Officer and ensure timely follow-up of enquiries and opportunities.What We're Looking For- 3–5 years' relevant experience in marine chartering, shipbroking or a closely related commercial shipping role.- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory capacity preferred.- Practical experience within the Offshore Support Vessel (OSV) sector strongly preferred.- Demonstrable vessel-sourcing and cross-chartering experience.- Good understanding of marine vessel types, capabilities and commercial applications.- Working knowledge of chartering practices and commonly used BIMCO charter-party forms.- Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship-management skills.- Ability to independently manage multiple enquiries and negotiations in a fast-moving environment.- Good numerical and analytical skills with a strong understanding of commercial costing and margins.- Existing relationships with regional and international vessel owners, operators and brokers will be a strong advantage.- Middle East/GCC marine market experience is preferred.Vessel Market ExperienceCommercial exposure to a range of vessel types such as AHTS, PSV, MPSV, tugs, crew boats, utility vessels, barges and other specialized marine and offshore vessels would be advantageous.Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Business Administration, Logistics or a related discipline is preferred.- Professional qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) or equivalent maritime/chartering qualifications would be an advantage.The CandidateWe are particularly interested in a hands-on chartering professional who is commercially ambitious, well-networked, proactive and capable of identifying and developing opportunities across a diverse range of marine activities.The successful candidate should be comfortable personally handling vessel sourcing, owner and broker negotiations, commercial evaluation and client requirements while also providing leadership to the Chartering function.This opportunity would also suit a strong Senior Chartering Executive or Senior Shipbroker who is ready to take the next step into a Chartering Manager position.Interested candidates meeting the above requirements are invited to apply with their updated CV.
