Job PurposeThe Chartering Specialist is responsible for maximizing fleet utilization and revenue through the effective marketing and chartering of company-owned offshore assets. The role identifies charter opportunities, develops commercial proposals, negotiates charter agreements, and coordinates closely with BD / Tendering , Operations, Finance, and Contracts teams to ensure successful project execution while achieving the division's commercial and financial objectives.About the Maritime ClusterAD Ports Group’s Maritime & Shipping Cluster is led by Noatum Maritime, a globally connected agile entity operating across multiple countries. With a fleet of over 250 vessels and decades of expertise, Noatum Maritime offers a diverse portfolio of services delivering “everything you need on the seas.”Responsibilities Chartering & Business DevelopmentIdentify and pursue spot, short-term, and long-term charter opportunities across target markets. Maximize fleet utilization and daily charter revenue through proactive marketing of available assets. Develop and maintain relationships with charterers, brokers, vessel owners, and strategic partners. Monitor vessel availability, market trends, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities. Prepare and submit commercial offers in accordance with company approval processes. Participate in commercial negotiations to secure profitable charter agreements. Commercial & Financial ManagementSupport commercial structuring of charter proposals to optimize profitability and competitiveness. Prepare pricing models, cost estimates, utilization scenarios, and financial evaluations for charter opportunities. Analyze mobilization costs, operating expenses, and commercial risks during bid preparation. Support revenue forecasting and contribute to budget planning for chartering activities. Ensure charter opportunities are aligned with approved commercial strategies and financial targets. Revenue & Financial AdministrationCoordinate timely issuance of invoices in accordance with charter party terms. Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up with customers to ensure timely payments. Coordinate with Finance regarding billing discrepancies, credit exposure, and payment status. Assist in commercial reporting including revenue tracking, vessel utilization, backlog, and forecast updates. Ensure commercial documentation supports accurate financial reporting. Operational CoordinationCoordinate closely with Operations to ensure smooth vessel mobilization and project execution. Monitor charter commencement, vessel delivery, redelivery, and operational milestones. Ensure commercial commitments are effectively communicated to operational teams. Support resolution of operational issues affecting charter performance. Participate in project handover meetings between Commercial and Operations. Stakeholder ManagementWork closely with BD / Tendering, Contracts, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure alignment across all chartering activities. Support preparation of management reports and chartering performance updates. Maintain strong relationships with clients and external stakeholders throughout the charter life cycle. Compliance & Continuous ImprovementEnsure compliance with company policies, commercial governance, and delegated authority limits. Maintain accurate chartering records and commercial databases. Contribute to continuous improvement of chartering processes and commercial procedures. Ensure chartering activities comply with contractual, legal, HSE, and regulatory requirements. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Logistics, Marine Engineering, or a related field4-6 years of experience in offshore vessel chartering or maritime commercial operationsExcellent English communication skills. Required SkillsStrong understanding of offshore support vessels (AHTS, PSV, MPSV, DSV, Crew Boats, etc.). Experience in charter party negotiations and offshore commercial contracts. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and commercial financial modelling.
