Employment Type: PermanentSalary: Up to £94,000 (total package)Shifts: Monday to Friday (4 x 10 hour shifts) with assigned on call weekends (paid overtime)Benefits: 7% employer contribution to pension3 x Life assurancePrivate HealthcarePrivate DentalEAP Programme300 hours annual leave per annumAbility to buy/sell annual leaveEV car schemeIn house type courses, to widen your skills and knowledge (bonding may be applicable)Refer a friend schemeAbout the RoleResponsible for the day-to-day management of aircraft maintenance input ensuring all materials, resources and facilities required to deliver the check on time, at the right cost and to the required standard are available.The Check Manager will be the principle point of contact for the customer ensuring that all customer expectations are fully met.

Responsible for ensuring all Regulatory requirements and company procedures are adhered too along with all health and safety requirementsKey ResponsibilitiesEnsure the on-time delivery of customer aircraft within the agreed budget, meeting required standards and customer expectations.Utilise C-certification privileges to issue the Certificate of Release to Service (CRS) following base maintenance input.Oversee the management of customer work packsIdentify potential risks and delays in the maintenance process and implement mitigation strategies to ensure minimal disruption.Work closely with the Shift Supervisor to review, allocate, and maximise efficient manpower utilisation.Manage, mentor, and develop direct reports through performance appraisals, competency assessments, and training initiatives.Provide guidance on complex maintenance tasks, troubleshooting technical issues, and liaising with engineering teams as required.Lead investigations into maintenance-related incidents or delays, producing reports and recommending preventative measures.Ensure full compliance with EASA Part 145, Part M, and Part 66 regulations, as well as company policies and industry best practices.Candidate RequirementsA minimum of 5 years management experience within P145 base maintenance, preferably managing other Licensed Engineers in a supervisory role in base maintenanceUKCAA Part 66 Licence, B1 or B2 and C Licence holder, typed on at least 2 of the following and recent on 1: A320 , A330, 737, 787Hands on experience of certifying Aircraft with an EASA/UKCAA part 66 licence and appropriate company authorisationFull understanding of regulatory requirements in relation to Part 145Why Work with JMC Aviation?At JMC Aviation, we specialise in aviation recruitment across engineering services and training to airlines, MROs and OEMs, leasing and asset management companies, and component overhaul organisations.
