Team members work in a regulated, quality-focused environment that emphasizes continuous improvement and professional excellence.Role Description This full-time, on-site Chemist role is based at Fusion Apothecary’s compounding lab in Dubai. The Chemist will perform day-to-day laboratory activities, including preparing, compounding, and testing pharmaceutical formulations in accordance with USP standards and internal protocols. Responsibilities include conducting analytical tests, documenting results, and supporting quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements. The role also involves participating in research and development initiatives, optimizing formulations, and contributing to process improvements. The Chemist will collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and other team members to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient lab environment and to support timely delivery of high-quality, tailor-made medications.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including safe handling of chemicals, compounding techniques, and familiarity with modern lab equipment.Candidates should possess quality control skills, with experience in implementing and following standardized procedures and ensuring compliance with USP, FDA, and local regulatory guidelines.Candidates should possess analytical skills, including data interpretation, problem-solving, and the ability to perform and evaluate analytical tests on pharmaceutical products.Candidates should possess research and development (R&D) and research skills, with the ability to support formulation development, process optimization, and technical documentation.Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Compounding Practice, with a strong focus on safety and contamination control.Attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and proficiency in using laboratory software or data management tools.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a diverse, multidisciplinary team in a regulated healthcare environment.
