AccountingLocation: Riga, Latvia, hybrid: 4 days in the office/1 day remoteJob purposeTo ensure the correct and timely execution of the company’s accounting processes in accordance with legal requirements, preparing high-quality financial information for the needs of the company and the Group, managing the reporting and tax process, as well as leading and developing the accounting team.Job duties:Ensure high-quality accounting services for the company.Organize day-to-day accounting records and oversee compliance of the entire accounting process with internal and external requirements.Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of tax and statistical reports for companies of the Republic of Latvia.Participate in the audit process of individual and consolidated financial statements.Ensure accurate preparation of financial reports and analysis for internal and external needs.Manage intercompany settlements between Group companies.Provide professional accounting advice to the company’s and other Group managers as needed.Monitor the company’s daily cash flow, ensuring effective liquidity management.Participate in operational and medium-term financial planning processes, including budget preparation.Approve accounts receivable and payable payment schedules, review orders exceeding the credit limit.Initiate and lead accounting process optimization initiatives in cooperation with the Business Process Development team.Identify automation and digitalization opportunities in close cooperation with the IT department.Actively participate in ERP system implementation, development, and integration projects.Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering professionalism, high performance, and effective cooperation.Ensure a logical and balanced distribution of tasks among team members and within the department as a whole.Organize regular monitoring of the team’s work results and provide feedback on individual and collective performance.Define team priorities, effectively delegate tasks, and monitor their execution.Promote cross-departmental cooperation and provide professional support to colleagues on accounting and tax matters.Other duties: Ensure timely preparation and submission of documents and other information to their direct supervisor or the company’s management, providing complete and accurate information.In accordance with the instructions of their direct supervisor, participate, within their competence, in the onboarding of new employees, introducing them to the company’s operations, and ensuring that the new employee has understood the information provided to them.In accordance with the instructions of their direct supervisor, participate, within their competence, in corrective/preventive measures to avert undesirable events.Participate in meetings, training events, and the performance appraisal process organized by the company, as well as in occupational safety briefings.Show initiative for improving processes, identifying needs, and resolving other tasks within the context of possible changes or growth, including proactive participation, within their competence, in work meetings organized by their direct supervisor, including brainstorming sessions.Undergo mandatory health checks in a timely manner.Independently and systematically familiarize themselves with procedures, instructions, orders, and other internal and external legal acts governing work at the company or related to the performance of job duties at the company.Immediately inform their direct supervisor of identified and potential undesirable events that may affect work processes at the company.Regularly report, as instructed by their direct supervisor, on goals, planned tasks, and any deviations that may affect the timely and high-quality execution of processes and the achievement of results.Keep up to date with industry trends and developments, continuously improve their knowledge and skills to promote the effective performance of their job duties and make a positive contribution to the company’s development.Support positive and respectful relationships with colleagues, fostering team cooperation, mutual trust, and a good working environment at the company.Carry out other instructions of the management and their direct supervisor, and the company’s internal and external legal acts governing the processing of confidential information.Requirements:Higher education in finance, accounting, or auditing.At least 5 years of experience as a chief accountant, with experience in team management.Good knowledge of tax legislation and accounting standards; experience working with IFRS is a significant advantage.Strong leadership skills and experience in change management.Experience with ERP systems (experience with Axapta is preferred).Excellent communication skills in Latvian and English (written and spoken).Ability to work in a dynamic, changing environment with a proactive attitude.Experience in the FMCG or beverage industry will be considered an advantage.
