Chief Accountant — Founding TeamA fast-growing mobility and car-rental technology company is looking for a founding Chief Accountant to build and run our finance function single-handedly.This is a hands-on, build-from-scratch role. You'll set up the books, own compliance, and build the financial models that guide our decisions — as the company's sole finance owner, reporting directly to leadership. We're looking for someone sharp, self-sufficient, and analytical, who wants to own finance end to end in a company that's still being built.What You'll Own·       The full accounting function, hands-on — general ledger, AP/AR, month-end close, and reporting — set up and run from scratch.·       Saudi compliance end to end: ZATCA (VAT, e-invoicing/Fatoorah, Zakat and corporate tax), GOSI, and WPS payroll — filed and managed personally.·       Financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and burn-rate tracking — the numbers that steer the business, not just record it.·       Cash flow management and the reporting that keeps our runway under control.·       Investor and board reporting, and keeping the books ready for due diligence.·       Financial controls, policies, and the accounting/ERP system, including e-invoicing setup.Who We're Looking ForSomeone who arrives with the knowledge, the expertise, and the ability to build this.·       Strong hands-on accounting experience, with real command of accrual accounting and IFRS as adopted in the Kingdom — not bookkeeping alone.·       Deep, practical command of Saudi tax and compliance — ZATCA VAT and e-invoicing , Zakat and corporate tax, GOSI, and WPS — handled on the government portals yourself.·       Genuine financial modelling ability — strong in Excel and comfortable building models, running scenarios, and reasoning about the numbers, not just closing them.·       A commercial, analytical mindset — curious about the why behind the figures, and keen to help steer the business.·       Fluent in Arabic and English; government filings and portals are in Arabic.·       Self-sufficient and organized — comfortable owning the entire finance function alone in a founding-team environment.Additional·       Professional qualification (SOCPA / CPA / ACCA / CMA) preferred, but strong practical ability matters more.·       Experience in a startup or high-growth company — you understand cash burn, runway, and investor reporting.·       Experience supporting a fundraise or financial due diligence.·       Familiarity with SaaS, marketplace, or subscription revenue recognition.How to ApplySend your CV to saleh@gcu365.com  along with a short note on one financial model or process you built from scratch — what it did and how you approached it.#ChiefAccountant #Finance #Accounting #FinancialModelling #Startup #Hiring #Riyadh #SaudiArabia #ZATCA #IFRS
