Chief Accountant

Job Opening: Chief Accountant | CyprusA distribution company, GLOBAL SPIRITS, operating in the alcoholic beverage sector in Cyprus, is seeking a Chief Accountant.Requirements:At least 3 years of experience as a Chief Accountant (mandatory).Proven track record in distribution or retail (mandatory).Background in alcohol distribution or FMCG is a strong advantage.Solid knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.Experience in preparing financial and management reports.Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.Professional working proficiency in English.Familiarity with Cyprus tax legislation and statutory reporting is a major plus.Key Responsibilities:End-to-end management of the company's accounting and tax operations.Preparation and submission of VAT, VIES, and other statutory filings.Oversight of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).Handling banking operations, payments, and bank reconciliations.Monitoring inventory accounting, COGS (cost of goods sold), and stock movement.Liaising with external auditors, banks, tax authorities, and government agencies.Preparing monthly management and financial reports for executive leadership.Supervising primary documentation and internal accounting workflows.Participating in process automation and building an efficient financial accounting framework.Location: CyprusPlease send your CV and references via LinkedIn direct message.💡About Global Spirits:Global Footprint: Global Spirits is one of the world’s leading alcoholic beverage holding companies, with products exported and distributed across more than 85 countries worldwide.Flagship Brands: The portfolio features renowned international and regional brands, including Khortytsa (consistently ranked among the top global vodka brands by volume), Morosha, Pervak, Shustoff, and Oreanda.Heritage & Quality: The holding brings together state-of-the-art production facilities and century-old distilling heritage (such as the Odesa Cognac Factory, established in 1863), adhering to international production standards and modern supply chain practices.International Expansion: Operating key regional hubs (including Global Spirits USA in New York) and expanding into new markets, the company continues to develop direct distribution networks across Europe and globally.P.S.
