Chief Accountant

Our client is a well-established international service organization operating across multiple markets and partnering with global businesses worldwide. Due to business needs, the company is looking to hire an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function in Poland and act as a key partner to Group Finance.ResponsibilitiesLead month-end and year-end closing activities for the Polish entity.Oversee accounting entries, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and VAT settlements.Review payroll calculations prepared by an external provider and ensure accurate accounting treatment.Prepare and analyse financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.Ensure compliance with Polish accounting standards and tax regulations.Support Group reporting and IFRS adjustments Manage audit processes and cooperate with external auditors.Supervise and develop a team of two accountants.RequirementsPrevious experience as a Chief AccountantStrong knowledge of Polish accounting, VAT and corporate income tax regulations.Hands-on experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.Good understanding of IFRS and reporting within an international group structure.Experience coordinating external audits.Fluency in English.Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems.Previous people management experience.OfferOpportunity to join a stable and growing international organization.Key leadership role with high visibility across the business.Direct cooperation with international finance stakeholders and Group Finance teams.Ownership of the local accounting function.Competitive remuneration package.Hybrid working model and international exposure.
