Apply & track with Apply EdgeJOB SUMMARY:The Head of Finance and Accounting cum Corporate Treasurer is responsible for the overall financial leadership, accounting operations, taxation, treasury management, statutory compliance, regulatory reporting, budgeting, financial planning, and corporate governance of the company. The role ensures full compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requirements, Local Government Units (LGUs), and other regulatory bodies applicable to the electric vehicle charging station business.The position serves as the principal finance leader and advises management on financial sustainability, tax efficiency, capital management, investment decisions, business expansion, and risk mitigation.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Finance LeadershipLead the overall Finance and Accounting function.Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's growth and expansion plans.Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board.Drive profitability, cash flow optimization, and operational efficiencies.Evaluate investment opportunities, charging station expansion projects, and capital expenditures.Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.2. Financial Accounting & ReportingOversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure compliance with:Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)SEC regulationsBIR accounting and record-keeping requirementsManage:General LedgerAccounts PayableAccounts ReceivableFixed AssetsFinancial Close ProcessEnsure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.Coordinate annual external audits and internal audits.Prepare Board and Management financial reports.3. Corporate Treasury ManagementServe as designated Corporate Treasurer.Manage corporate liquidity and cash flow requirements.Oversee banking relationships and credit facilities.Lead cash forecasting and working capital management.Manage corporate investments and debt obligations.Monitor foreign exchange exposure and treasury risks.Ensure efficient fund utilization for EV charging station development projects.Review and approve treasury transactions and bank reconciliations.4. EV Charging Industry Financial ManagementDevelop financial models for EV charging infrastructure investments.Analyze charging station utilization, revenue streams, and profitability.Review:Electricity costsGrid connection costsSite lease agreementsEnergy procurement strategiesMonitor EBITDA and return-on-investment metrics for charging stations.Evaluate tariff pricing structures and charging revenue optimization.Support expansion planning and feasibility studies.6. Budgeting, Forecasting and FP&ALead annual budgeting process.Prepare rolling forecasts and long-term financial plans.Conduct variance analysis and management reporting.Monitor key financial KPIs and operational metrics.Establish financial dashboards and performance monitoring systems.7. Internal Controls and Risk ManagementStrengthen internal accounting controls.Develop policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.Ensure compliance with anti-fraud and anti-corruption policies.Establish risk management frameworks covering:Financial risksCredit risksTreasury risksTax risksRegulatory risks8. Regulatory and Corporate ComplianceEnsure compliance with:Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)Local Government Units (LGUs)Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), as applicableDepartment of Energy (DOE), when applicable to EV charging operationsOversee renewal of permits, registrations, and licenses.Ensure compliance with company governance requirements.Qualifications:EducationBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.CPA, CMA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.MBA is an advantage.ExperienceMinimum 10-15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.Minimum 10 years in a senior finance leadership role.Experience in BPO, infrastructure, energy, renewable energy, EV charging, utilities, power sector, transportation, or technology businesses preferred.Extensive experience handling BIR audits and tax assessments.Strong background in treasury management and corporate finance.Strong exposure to capital raising, project financing, and investment evaluation.
