Chief Accountant (Events Background) | 15-18k Monthly Salary

The Chief Accountant oversees the entire accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls. The role leads and develops the accounting team and acts as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax authorities.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure timely month-end and year-end closeEnsure financial statements are prepared accurately and in accordance with IFRS / local GAAPLead, mentor, and develop the accounting team (Senior Accountant, General Accountant, AP)Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory filings, and other regulatory requirementsServe as primary point of contact for external auditors and tax authoritiesReview and strengthen internal controls, identifying and closing control gapsReview and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and payment runs before finalizationSupport the Finance Manager in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planningMonitor and report on the company's payables, receivables, and overall financial positionQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)Professional qualification: CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA (preferred)Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and internal control frameworksProven leadership and team management capabilityEXPERIENCE REQUIRED6-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead capacity.SOFTWARE / SYSTEMS (ORACLE / SAP)ERP: Oracle Financials (advanced) or SAP FI/CO (advanced)Advanced MS Excel and financial reporting tools
