Chief Accountant (Saudi Only)

Description:We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to join our Finance team. Responsibilities

As a Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for:Overseeing daily accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and records.Managing and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.Preparing and reviewing financial reports, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.Reviewing balance sheet accounts and ensuring timely reconciliation and clearance of outstanding items.Monitoring accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, and general ledger activities.Ensuring compliance with hotel financial policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures.Supporting the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.Assisting with internal and external audits and ensuring all required documentation is accurate and available.Identifying discrepancies and following up with concerned departments to ensure timely resolution.Supporting the Director of Finance in maintaining effective financial controls across the hotel.Guiding and supporting Finance team members in their daily responsibilities.Working closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Previous experience as a Chief Accountant, Senior Accountant, or similar role, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in VAT, ZATCA requirements, and dealing with relevant government authorities and platforms in Saudi Arabia.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Why Hyatt Place?Our purpose is "we care for people so they can be their best."Care comes from a place of empathy and authentic human connection.
