Chief Accounting Officer

Required for Kurdistan Region, Iraq - Onsite.We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Head of Accounting (AP, AR & GL) to lead the accounting function for a cement operational manufacturing plant. The position will be responsible for establishing robust accounting processes, controls, policies, and ERP/SAP workflows while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on ERP/SAP experience, and proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience in the cement industry will be highly preferred.Lead AP, AR, GL, month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.Establish accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and Chart of Accounts.Set up and optimize ERP/SAP accounting processes and workflows for a newly operational plant.Ensure accurate and timely financial transactions and management reporting.Oversee working capital, receivables, payables, inventory, and fixed asset accounting.Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and internal/external stakeholders.Lead, develop, and manage the accounting team.Qualification: CA (ICAP), ACCA, or ICMA qualified.Experience: 8–10 years, including at least 3 years in a managerial/head role.Strong ERP/SAP expertise is essential; manufacturing/cement industry experience strongly preferred.
