Our platform offers private investors opportunities to invest in securities backed by consumer loans originated by VIA SMS Group companies and their affiliates.Established in 2016, VIAINVEST has attracted more than 47,000 investors and facilitated over EUR 750 million in consumer loan financing.In this role, you will take ownership of VIAINVEST's accounting activities, from day-to-day operations to financial and regulatory reporting, while contributing to improvements that support the company's continued development.YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Independently manage full-cycle accounting in accordance with Latvian legislation, company accounting policies and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Prepare financial statements and ensure accurate and timely submission of tax, statistical and regulatory reports, including reports to the Bank of Latvia.Independently prepare the company's annual financial statements and coordinate cooperation with external auditors and supervisory authorities.Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including payroll, tax accounting, bank transactions, accounts payable and receivable, and other accounting operations.Ensure accuracy and consistency of accounting data through regular reconciliations, financial data analysis and internal control procedures.Identify opportunities to improve and automate accounting processes, enhancing efficiency and data quality.Collaborate with VIA SMS Group accounting professionals, Finance, BI, Risk, Compliance and other teams to ensure reliable financial data and regulatory compliance.Monitor changes in accounting, tax and financial sector regulations and implement necessary adjustments to accounting processes.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.At least 4 years of practical accounting experience, including independent full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation.Strong knowledge of Latvian accounting and tax regulations, as well as practical experience in applying IFRS.Experience in the financial sector, ideally FinTech, banking, investment services or another regulated financial institution, will be considered a strong advantage.Experience in preparing annual financial statements and working with external auditors. Experience with regulatory reporting to the Bank of Latvia will be considered an advantage.Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with accounting systems.
