This full-time, on-site role in Dubai, United Arab Emirates involves overseeing AI research and development, guiding architecture and model selection, and ensuring responsible deployment of AI technologies. The role includes collaborating closely with product, engineering, and venture teams to identify high-impact AI use cases, prioritize initiatives, and drive end-to-end implementation. The Chief AI Officer will build and mentor AI and data teams, establish best practices for experimentation and evaluation, and define standards for ethical AI and data governance. The position also involves representing 808Labs in technical and industry forums, evaluating partnership opportunities, and staying ahead of emerging trends in AI and machine learning.Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in AI and machine learning, including hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks, model design, and production deployment.Strong background in data science, analytics, and data engineering practices, with the ability to define data strategies that support AI initiatives.Proven leadership experience building and managing high-performing technical teams, with skills in mentoring, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration.Solid understanding of software engineering principles, cloud infrastructure, and scalable system design in AI-driven products.Experience defining and implementing AI strategy in a product-focused environment, ideally across multiple product lines or ventures.Knowledge of responsible AI, data privacy, and regulatory considerations, with a commitment to ethical and inclusive technology development.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable plans for both technical and non-technical audiences.Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience in startup or venture-building environments and familiarity with commercializing AI technologies is highly beneficial.
