Chief AI & Transformation Leader - PE-Backed Energy Trading Company - GermanyAI Futures have been introduced to a highly-regarded asset of a trusted Private Equity Firm in our network, as they build out their service line to integrate an AI Solutions business unit to their customer offering. The company are focused on Energy Trading ERP and Digital Transformation, and are now looking to adopt cutting-edge AI use-case developments.We are looking for a Chief AI & Transformation Leader to scale this initiative as it's own service line. This executive will shape how AI reshapes trading operations, risk management, and enterprise systems for clients in the energy sector, while driving internal transformation to keep our organization at the forefront of innovation.Role ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the company's AI and digital transformation strategy, aligning it with business goals in energy trading, ERP, and risk management marketsLead the design and deployment of AI-driven capabilities within ETRM/CTRM and ERP platforms, including predictive analytics, algorithmic trading support, and intelligent automationPartner with the CEO and executive leadership to identify transformation opportunities that create competitive advantage for clients and the companyOwn the AI governance framework, ensuring responsible, secure, and compliant use of AI across products and internal operationsDrive organizational change management programs to support adoption of new technologies, workflows, and operating modelsOversee cross-functional teams spanning data science, engineering, product, and consulting to deliver AI-enabled transformation projects on time and on budgetBuild and mentor a high-performing AI and transformation team, including hiring key technical and strategic talentEvaluate and integrate emerging technologies (generative AI, machine learning, automation platforms) relevant to energy trading and enterprise systemsAct as a trusted advisor to client C-suites on transformation roadmaps, AI adoption, and modernization of legacy trading/risk infrastructureKey Skills & Experience Required10+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology strategy, digital transformation, or AI, with at least 5 years in an executive or C-suite capacityProven track record designing and scaling AI/ML solutions in enterprise software or financial/trading environmentsStrong understanding of ERP implementation and transformation methodologies, including legacy system modernizationExperience leading large, cross-functional teams (technical and non-technical) through complex organizational changeFamiliarity with modern AI/ML technologies, including generative AI, LLMs, predictive modeling, and automation tools, and their practical application in enterprise settingsExcellent executive presence and communication skills, with experience advising client C-suites and boardsStrong background in data governance, AI ethics, and regulatory compliance, particularly within energy or financial servicesDemonstrated ability to translate technical capabilities into business value and measurable ROIExperience managing P&L, budgets, and vendor/partner relationships at an executive level
