Chief Compliance Officer (CCO)

Role Description The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) is a part-time, hybrid role based in Sharjah, with flexibility for some work from home. The CCO will design, implement, and oversee the organization’s compliance framework, ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Day-to-day tasks include conducting compliance risk assessments, developing and updating policies and procedures, and monitoring operations to identify and address potential compliance issues. The CCO will also provide guidance and training to staff on compliance requirements, maintain compliance documentation and reports, and collaborate with leadership on ethical standards and governance. The role involves regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all training, consulting, and language services meet applicable regulatory and professional standards.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance skills, including policy development and oversight.Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and the ability to interpret regulations, identify risks, and propose practical solutions.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, with the ability to convey complex compliance topics clearly to diverse audiences.Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of Finance to assess the compliance impact on financial transactions and reporting.Relevant experience in education, consulting, or professional services environments is beneficial.A bachelor’s degree in law, business, finance, public administration, or a related field is preferred; professional compliance certifications are an advantage.Demonstrated integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a hybrid setting are essential.
