We design and install professional AV systems for corporate,government, education, houses of worship, performing arts, hospitality, and other commercialenvironments throughout Central Oregon and beyond.As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to take technicalownership of our AV designs and help establish the engineering standards that will support thenext stage of REVEL's growth.This is not a desk-only engineering position. We're looking for someone who can design asystem, help our sales team turn a customer's needs into the right technical solution, and thenstep into the field to make sure that system is commissioned and performing exactly asintended.The RoleThe Chief Engineer will serve as REVEL's senior technical resource for commercial AV systemdesign, engineering, programming, configuration, troubleshooting, and commissioning.You'll work closely with our sales team during the design and estimating process, developcomplete technical solutions, support our installation technicians during deployment, and take aleading role in final system commissioning.A major part of this position is making sure that what we sell can be built, what we build works,and what we deliver meets the expectations of our clients.Key Responsibilities● Design complete commercial AV systems based on customer needs, site conditions,budgets, and project requirements.● Support the sales team with system design, equipment selection, technical scopedevelopment, and estimating.● Develop signal flow, system architecture, equipment specifications, and engineeringdocumentation.● Program, configure, and commission AV systems utilizing platforms including Crestron,Shure, Atlona, Allen & Heath, and other professional AV manufacturers.● Configure and troubleshoot audio DSP, microphones, conferencing systems, videodistribution, control systems, networked AV, and related technologies.● Perform on-site system commissioning, testing, tuning, and final optimization.● Troubleshoot complex technical issues both remotely and in the field.● Review projects before installation to identify potential engineering or integration issues.● Provide technical guidance and support to REVEL's installation team.● Help establish engineering standards, documentation practices, programming standards,and commissioning procedures.● Assist with manufacturer relationships, product evaluation, and determining whichtechnologies REVEL standardizes around.● Participate in customer meetings and site walks when advanced technical expertise isneeded.● Help train and develop technicians as REVEL's technical capabilities continue toexpand.Required Qualifications● Current AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification● Demonstrated professional experience designing and engineering commercial AVsystems● Experience taking AV projects from initial requirements through design, installationsupport, and final commissioning● Strong understanding of audio, video, control, networking, and signal flow● Experience programming, configuring, or commissioning professional AV systems● Ability to diagnose and resolve complex AV system problems in the field● Ability to read and develop AV drawings, signal-flow diagrams, system documentation,and technical specifications● Strong written and verbal communication skills● Ability to work directly with customers, sales staff, technicians, contractors, and otherproject stakeholdersAn Oregon LEA license is not required for this position.Preferred Qualifications & Experience● AVIXA CTS certification● Crestron programming, configuration, and commissioning experience● Shure professional audio, DSP, conferencing, and microphone systems● Atlona video distribution and AV-over-IP systems● Allen & Heath digital mixing and audio systems● Dante and networked audio● Audio DSP configuration and system tuning● Commercial conferencing and collaboration systems● AV-over-IP and networked AV architecture● Q-SYS, Yamaha, Biamp, Bose Professional, Logitech, Ubiquiti, or similar professionalAV platforms● Manufacturer certifications from Crestron, Shure, Audinate, Q-SYS, Biamp, or othermajor professional AV manufacturersThe Person We're Looking & BenefitsCompensation: Competitive and appropriate to experience and technical capabilities.Final compensation will take into account AV engineering experience, programming capabilities,manufacturer
