Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Employment Type: Full-time Seniority Level: ExecutiveJob DescriptionWe are seeking an accomplished Chief Executive Director to provide strategic, operational, and commercial leadership for a large-scale Mobility and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) business in the UAE.The successful candidate will have proven senior-level leadership experience within mobility, transportation, infrastructure, intelligent transportation systems, smart mobility, or related sectors, with a strong track record of managing large-scale businesses, complex projects, and multidisciplinary teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide overall strategic, operational, and commercial leadership for the mobility and ITS business.Lead the end-to-end delivery of Intelligent Transportation Systems projects, including supply, installation, testing, commissioning, operations, and maintenance.Oversee ITS solutions for signalized intersections, including adaptive traffic control systems, Variable Message Signs (VMS), traffic monitoring systems, traffic data collection systems, and CCTV surveillance.Lead the deployment of ITS and life-safety systems within tunnel environments, including Variable Message Signs, Public Address Systems, Access Control Systems, over-height vehicle detection, SCADA, and tunnel management systems.Oversee Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services for ITS infrastructure, ensuring system availability, preventive and corrective maintenance, emergency response, and SLA compliance.Manage communication systems, network management systems, fiber-optic networks, and field ITS infrastructure.Lead major project execution, upgrades, replacements, modernization programs, and transformation initiatives.Identify and develop new technology and business opportunities in AI-based detection, Smart Mobility, V2X/CCAM, Digital Twins, IoT, and Smart Infrastructure.Develop and maintain strong relationships with technology partners, OEMs, solution providers, government authorities, and strategic clients.Strengthen technical and project governance, operational performance, customer relationships, and organizational capabilities.Build and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams to support long-term business growth.Drive innovation and ensure the organization remains aligned with evolving mobility and transportation technologies.Candidate RequirementsProven senior/executive leadership experience within Mobility, Transportation, ITS, Infrastructure, Smart Mobility, or a related sector.Strong strategic, operational, and commercial leadership capabilities.Demonstrated experience managing large-scale businesses, projects, and multidisciplinary teams.Strong understanding of Intelligent Transportation Systems and smart mobility technologies.Experience in traffic management, transportation infrastructure, ITS deployment, or related technology solutions.Experience working with government authorities, major infrastructure clients, OEMs, technology partners, and solution providers is highly desirable.Strong commercial acumen and demonstrated ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.UAE experience is strongly preferred.Candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred.Preferred Industry ExperienceCandidates with experience in the following sectors are encouraged to apply:Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)Smart MobilityTransportation & MobilityTraffic Management SystemsInfrastructureSmart InfrastructureTransportation TechnologyEngineering & Technology SolutionsDigital Infrastructure
