(“NEWCO”) is the general partner of Atahm Economic Development Limited Partnership (“Atahm”), which serves as the economic development arm of Adams Lake Indian Band (ALIB).Its mandate is to generate own-source revenue, create employment, build community capacity and support ALIB entrepreneurs through long-term investment and business development.Atahm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Executive Officer to turn this vision into results. The OpportunityReporting to the NEWCO Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strategic leadership and oversee Atahm’s day-to-day operations, business interests, partnerships, future subsidiaries and business development activities.The CEO will:· lead implementation of Atahm’s strategic priorities;· identify and advance investment, partnership and business opportunities;· oversee operations, finances, administration and organizational development;· build strong relationships with the Board, ALIB Chief and Council, community members, partners and funders;· support informed decision-making through clear analysis, advice and reporting;· pursue grants and other sources of capital; and· represent Atahm at meetings, events and partnership tables. What You BringThe successful candidate will ideally have:· a degree or diploma in business administration, public administration, government relations or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;· at least three years of executive leadership or senior management experience;· demonstrated experience in business development, commercial or for-profit operations, organizational management and strategic implementation;· strong knowledge of Indigenous economic development, priorities and opportunities;· experience securing grants and funding from multiple sources;· sound financial, administrative and governance skills;· excellent written, verbal and presentation skills;· strong relationship-building and networking abilities;· diplomacy, sound judgment, discretion and high ethical standards;· the ability to travel and attend events outside regular office hours; and· a valid Class 5 driver’s licence. Knowledge of ALIB and the broader Secwépemc Nation is a strong asset. CompensationAtahm offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $110,000 - $125,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience, for a 37.5-hour work week, plus generous annual leave, employer matched defined pension contribution plan, and excellent extended health, dental, vision, LTD, AD&D and life insurance coverage. Position DetailsThis is a full-time, permanent position based in Chase, B.C. Atahm will consider a hybrid work arrangement for the right candidate.
