Own 10%.Equity: 10% ownership stake in greenstockCash remuneration: To be agreedLocation and working arrangements: To be agreedAbout greenstockgreenstock helps agricultural businesses understand what their stock is worth, connect with buyers and sellers, and make more informed commercial decisions. The platform brings together agricultural market intelligence and a marketplace covering crops, livestock, machinery, equestrian, supplies and services. Our ambition is to make agricultural trade simpler and more accessible—helping farmers, suppliers, dealers and other marketplaces reach customers while supporting their own brands and customer relationships. We are looking for a hands-on CEO to turn that ambition into a growing, commercially successful business. The opportunityThis is an opportunity to lead greenstock alongside its founder, take responsibility for business performance and receive a 10% equity stake in the company. We need someone who combines strategic judgement with the willingness to do the work themselves. You should be as comfortable speaking to a farmer, following up a prospective customer or negotiating a partnership as you are setting company priorities and reviewing financial performance. You will lead business strategy, commercial execution and day-to-day operations, working closely with the founder on product direction, resources and long-term growth. This is an operating role, not an advisory title. You will be expected to create momentum personally, build repeatable ways of winning and retaining customers, and develop the team as the business grows. What you will be responsible forBusiness strategy and performanceSet a focused growth strategy and translate it into clear commercial priorities, budgets and measurable targets. Decide which customer segments, markets and opportunities deserve attention—and which should wait.Own the operating plan, track progress and take responsibility when results fall short. Balance growth ambitions with available resources, cash requirements and the economics of the business.Customers, sales and revenuePersonally lead early commercial activity: finding prospects, starting conversations, running demonstrations, handling objections, negotiating agreements and closing business.Build a practical sales process from first contact through onboarding, payment and renewal. Understand why customers buy, what prevents them from buying and what keeps them using greenstock.Grow recurring revenue and retained paying customers—not simply registrations, traffic or social engagement.Partnerships and distributionDevelop relationships with agricultural suppliers, dealers, service providers, industry organisations, affiliates and existing marketplaces.Create partnerships that bring relevant customers, useful supply or commercially valuable distribution to greenstock. Position the business as a partner that helps others reach customers, rather than assuming every established agricultural platform is a competitor.Own the relationship beyond the initial agreement, ensuring partnerships generate measurable activity and value.Marketing and customer acquisitionOwn the commercial outcomes of marketing, working with a CMO, specialist support or external partners as the team develops.Help sharpen the proposition for different audiences, test acquisition channels and invest in the approaches that produce retained customers. Connect campaigns, content, outreach and partnerships to revenue outcomes.Be willing to represent greenstock publicly through customer meetings, industry events, interviews and relevant online channels.Product and customer experienceWork closely with the founder and product leadership to make sure the product roadmap reflects real customer needs and commercial priorities.Bring direct customer feedback into decisions. Identify friction in discovery, onboarding, purchase and continued use, and help the team prioritise improvements that increase adoption, retention and willingness to pay.You do not need to write code, but you must be able to work effectively with technical people and make sensible trade-offs between opportunity, complexity and cost.Team, operations and financial disciplineBuild a capable team as resources allow, with clear responsibilities, practical goals and accountability for delivery.Establish straightforward reporting across revenue, pipeline, customer retention, expenditure and cash. Make sure commitments to customers and partners are realistic and delivered.Work with the founder on investor readiness and fundraising where appropriate, supported by credible operating data and a clear commercial story. Fundraising should support the business—not replace the work of building it.Who we are looking forWe are looking for an entrepreneurial operator who wants ownership, responsibility and the opportunity to build something substantial. You should bring:* Evidence of growing a business, product or commercial function. You can explain what you personally did, the results you achieved and what you learned.* Strong sales and partnership skills. You are comfortable initiating conversations, asking for business, negotiating and maintaining relationships.* Commercial and financial judgement. You understand revenue quality, retention, acquisition costs, margins and cash—not just headline growth.* A hands-on approach. You can make progress without a large team, substantial budget or established processes.* Clear leadership and communication. You can set priorities, make difficult decisions, work constructively with a founder and take accountability for outcomes.Experience in agriculture, agricultural technology, marketplaces, subscription software or B2B platforms would be valuable. An existing agricultural network would also help, but neither substitutes for the ability to execute. You do not need to have held the CEO title before. You do need to demonstrate that you can lead, sell, deliver and take responsibility for business performance.Your first 90 daysFirst 30 days: Understand and focusGet close to the product, customers, commercial model and current business position. Speak directly with customers and prospects, review existing activity and establish a reliable performance baseline.Agree the priority customer segments, immediate opportunities and measurable objectives with the founder. Begin commercial outreach rather than waiting for a lengthy strategy exercise to finish.Days 31–60: Test and deliverRun focused sales and partnership activity, improve the customer proposition and address the most important onboarding barriers.Build a qualified pipeline, test acquisition approaches and establish a simple weekly operating review. Use evidence from customer conversations and conversion results to refine the plan.Days 61–90: Demonstrate progress and build repeatabilityShow measurable progress against the agreed commercial objectives. Identify which customer segments, channels and partnerships offer the strongest opportunity.Present an evidence-based plan for the next two quarters, including revenue priorities, product dependencies, resource requirements and hiring decisions. What success looks likeSuccess means a growing base of paying customers who continue to use greenstock, supported by a clearer and more repeatable way of acquiring them.It means partnerships that deliver business, product decisions grounded in customer needs, disciplined spending and a team that understands its priorities. We will agree specific targets against the company’s actual starting position. Performance will be assessed on commercial outcomes and the quality of the business being built—not activity for its own sake.Ownership and remunerationYou will receive a 10% equity stake in greenstock. The precise shareholding basis, timing of the award and any vesting, future dilution and leaver provisions will be agreed and documented before appointment. Cash remuneration will be agreed separately as part of the overall package.Alongside that ownership, you will have meaningful influence over the company’s strategy, commercial direction and team, working closely with the founder. We are looking for someone who treats that ownership seriously: taking a long-term view, protecting customer trust and building lasting business value. How to applySend your CV or LinkedIn profile with a short introduction explaining what you have grown, the commercial results you personally delivered and why you want to build greenstock.Include a brief outline of where you would focus during your first 90 days, together with your availability and cash remuneration expectations. We are looking for someone who wants to build and own a business—not simply hold the CEO title.
