Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole Description The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is a part-time leadership role responsible for guiding ANBCB’s strategic direction, organizational growth, and operational effectiveness. Based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, this hybrid role combines on-site leadership with flexibility for remote work. The CEO will oversee day-to-day operations, including financial oversight, partnership development, and coordination of programs such as conferences, training initiatives, and collaborative projects. Key responsibilities include leading strategic planning, representing ANBCB in regional and international forums, cultivating relationships with funders and partner institutions, and ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission. The CEO will work closely with the board, advisory committees, and regional stakeholders to drive sustainable impact in bioinformatics and computational biology across Africa.QualificationsDemonstrated expertise in Finance and Business Planning, including budgeting, fundraising, and resource allocation.Strong background in Operations Management and Strategic Planning to guide organizational growth and program delivery.Experience in Sales, partnership development, or stakeholder engagement to expand networks and funding opportunities.Proven leadership experience in scientific, non-profit, or innovation-focused organizations, preferably in health, life sciences, or technology.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with diverse international stakeholders.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills across cultures and disciplines.Familiarity with bioinformatics, computational biology, or related scientific domains is highly advantageous.Advanced degree in business, public administration, life sciences, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
