Chief Executive Officer Data Center Maintenance, Technology & Contracting Platform
Cebron Group · Irvine, CA
Apply & track with Apply EdgeIt is constrained by the people and companies who can power, cool, build, and maintain data centers. We are building a critical-facility services platform focused on exactly that: electrical contracting, cooling, maintenance, and technology services for data centers and other mission-critical facilities. The platform will grow by acquiring established, profitable contracting and maintenance businesses and integrating them into a single operating company with shared leadership, systems, safety standards, procurement, and customer relationships. Recurring maintenance and service revenue is the core of the model. Construction and installation work drive customer access and growth. This is an entrepreneurial, ground-floor opportunity. We are seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead the company from formation through its first acquisitions and into scale. The right candidate will build the business as an owner, not manage it as an employee. What You Will Do
- Lead the company. Set strategy and build the operating platform from the ground up, including organizational design, operating cadence, and performance metrics.
- Source and execute acquisitions. Identify, evaluate, and close acquisitions of electrical contractors, mechanical and cooling contractors, and critical-facility maintenance providers. Lead diligence, valuation, and deal structuring alongside the board.
- Integrate acquired businesses. Design and run post-close integration: leadership alignment, financial reporting, estimating and project controls, safety programs, shared procurement, and retention of owner-operators and key field talent.
- Raise capital. Work with the board and capital partners to raise equity and debt to fund acquisitions and growth. Present to investors and lenders and maintain those relationships.
- Grow revenue. Build relationships with hyperscalers, colocation operators, general contractors, developers, and enterprise owners. Expand maintenance and service agreements as the recurring revenue base.
- Build the team. Recruit and develop the executive team, including finance, operations, safety, and business development leadership.
- Own safety and compliance. Maintain licensing, bonding, insurance, and safety performance across all operating companies and jurisdictions. What You Bring
- 15+ years in electrical contracting, mechanical contracting, data center construction, or critical-facility operations, including senior leadership with full P&L responsibility.
- Direct data center experience across power distribution (switchgear, UPS, generators, PDUs), cooling (chillers, CRAH/CRAC, liquid and direct-to-chip cooling), commissioning, and ongoing maintenance.
- Construction and contracting depth: self-perform operations, estimating, bidding, bonding, project delivery, and field workforce management.
- A track record of completed acquisitions, including leading integration after close. Roll-up or platform-building experience is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of capital markets and direct experience raising capital from private equity, family offices, strategic investors, or lenders. Familiarity with acquisition financing, seller notes, earnouts, and equity rollover.
- An established network of contracting business owners, data center operators, and industry relationships.
- Entrepreneurial drive and comfort operating in an early-stage company where you build the systems, the team, and the culture.
- Bachelor's degree required. MBA, engineering degree, master electrician license, or PE license is a plus.Compensation and StructureInitial compensation consists entirely of equity, in the form of founding equity and stock options. There is no cash salary at the outset. This role is designed for an executive who wants meaningful ownership in a company they build, with significant upside tied directly to the value they create through acquisitions, integration, and growth.Candidates who require an immediate cash salary should not apply. Candidates who want to own a substantial piece of a platform positioned at the center of data center infrastructure should. Why Lead this Company
- Ground-floor ownership in a platform built to compound through acquisition and organic growth.
- Exposure to one of the fastest-growing infrastructure markets, through services that are needed regardless of which developer or hyperscaler wins.
- Direct partnership with a board and capital partners focused on long-term value creation.
- Full authority to shape the strategy, team, and culture of the company.
