With our equity partners sitting across multiple countries and operational teams in offices in New York, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, and Athens, we are well positioned to support bespoke investment opportunities in Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Credit, and Digital Assets, and create a unique edge in the market.We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer to lead a newly formed United States venture in the critical minerals sector, backed by IMS Group and built on technology already developed and deployed within the Group. The platform tokenises ownership in mining and critical-minerals assets, so that projects can raise capital against them and investors can hold and transfer that exposure digitally, with issuance, settlement and compliance handled in one environment. The tech platform is live and the development team is in place.The commercial sequence is B2B first, across producers, processors, government buyers and institutional allocators, with a B2C phase to follow. The mandate is to originate those transactions in the United States, establish the regulatory perimeter with counsel, and raise the capital that funds the build. Your role will be market-facing, working with the IMS equity partners, the wider executive group, and the IMS investor network.
- Establish the venture in the United States market and lead it as its Chief Executive Officer
- Originate and sign memoranda of understanding with mineral producers, processors and offtake counterparties, and convert them into completed transactions
- Build the buyer side across government agencies, defense prime contractors and institutional allocators, and represent the venture to the departments and agencies now procuring critical minerals
- Deliver the first completed third-party transaction on the platform with an external counterpartyCapital formation
- Together with the IMS equity partners, lead the financing round to a close and position the follow-on round
- Identify and reach out to potential investors, which include family offices and institutional investorsRegulatory and corporate build
- Own the counsel relationship and take the regulatory position to a written conclusion, covering securities perimeter, licensing and freedom to operate
- Establish the operating, reporting and compliance base of a United States entity
- Recruit and lead a small founding teamDay-to-day activities
- Engage with producers, government stakeholders, allocators and prospective investors to build opportunity pipelines
- Perform market research to help identify new counterparties, trends and opportunities
- Proactively network with peers and prospects to establish and nurture relationships
- Attend relevant professional and social events on behalf of the venture and IMS GroupRequirementsThe ideal applicant must be comfortable representing the venture and IMS Group towards counterparties, government stakeholders, existing investors, potential investors, and other stakeholders. They must be an outstanding networker and able to engage with a wide variety of highly driven team members across the globe. Furthermore, the ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- Substantial experience across at least two of the following three areas: critical minerals or mining finance; the defense industrial base or federal contracting; regulated digital asset or market infrastructure
- A record of personally closing institutional transactions, with references
- Direct experience selling to, or raising from, a federal agency, a prime contractor, a sovereign investor or a strategic corporate investor
- Experience taking a product or an entity through a United States securities or digital asset regulatory perimeter, or of owning the counsel relationship that did
- Experience as one of the first employees of a venture-funded company, with the ability to operate without an established support function
- Fast industry comprehension: quick grasp of new sectors, their key value drivers, and competitive dynamics
- Strong business storytelling: able to turn raw ideas and incomplete inputs into clear, polished, senior-level decks and materials, and ability to convey the key messaging verbally
- A genuine hunter mentality, with strong confidence in face-to-face relationship buildingAdditional personal attributes and qualities
