Chief Finance Officer

Our client is a UK listed digital media firm offering SME’s access to a comprehensive portfolio of products and services that would ordinarily only be affordable to larger corporations with significant marketing and communication budgets. They have achieved this by basing their operations out of Dubai where they have attracted a multicultural team (currently 120 staff) and building AI platforms that have enabled them to offer their services at significantly lower prices than any of their competitors. The British Founder and CEO is a “visionary” and is committed to the democratisation of AI & Digital media assets and this is reflected in the fast-paced, agile culture. Post IPO, our client would like to appoint a permanent CFO to take over from the Interim CFO who stewarded them through the UK listing process. This individual could be based outside of The UAE and prepared to travel to Dubai regularly OR reside in Dubai permanently.Due to the UK listing we require the CFO to be UK qualified (preferably a Top 4 trained CA) and experienced in overseeing all statutory and financial report requirements as well as being the commercial and strategic “advisor” to the Founder and Senior leadership team. The finance team is currently relatively small so whilst there is a commitment to invest in headcount across all HQ functions; the objective is to adopt technology where possible in order to maintain the lowest headcount possible. The ideal candidate will therefore be very hands-on and preference will be shown to candidates who can demonstrate an existing, deep operational and commercial knowledge of the media services industry.
