Our client is seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to provide enterprise-wide financial leadership and support the institution’s continued growth, investment activity, and long-term strategic objectives.The successful candidate will bring extensive experience leading complex finance functions within a sovereign wealth fund, institutional investment platform, private equity organization, asset manager, family office, or similarly sophisticated financial institution. The organization invests across multiple asset classes, sectors, and geographies through direct investments, fund commitments, strategic partnerships, and other investment structures.The fund operates within a complex and highly visible stakeholder environment and is committed to institutional excellence, disciplined investment governance, transparency, and sustainable long-term value creation.Position OverviewThe Chief Financial Officer will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and a trusted strategic advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, board, investment leadership, and other senior stakeholders.The CFO will oversee the fund’s financial strategy, planning, reporting, treasury, controls, governance, and enterprise risk activities. This executive will ensure that the finance function provides the infrastructure, insight, and discipline necessary to support investment decision-making, portfolio oversight, operational excellence, and long-term institutional growth.The CFO will also play a central role in strengthening financial governance, enhancing reporting capabilities, optimizing liquidity and capital deployment, and building a high-performing finance organization aligned with the fund’s investment mandate.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the fund’s financial strategy in alignment with its investment mandate, long-term objectives, and institutional priorities.Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, board, investment committee, and senior leadership team on financial, investment, capital allocation, and enterprise matters.Translate the organization’s long-term strategy into integrated financial plans, operating priorities, and measurable performance objectives.Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial modeling across the institution.Oversee consolidated financial reporting across the fund and its underlying investment portfolio.Deliver timely, accurate, and decision-useful reporting to executive leadership, the board, investment committees, regulators, and other key stakeholders.Establish consistent standards for portfolio reporting, valuation oversight, performance measurement, and financial analysis across asset classes and investment structures.Partner closely with investment leadership to evaluate investment performance, capital deployment, portfolio exposures, and value-creation opportunities.Provide financial leadership on direct investments, fund commitments, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and other complex transactions.Oversee financial due diligence, valuation, transaction structuring, and post-investment performance monitoring.Support portfolio companies and investment teams on financial transformation, governance, capital structure, and value-creation initiatives where appropriate.Lead treasury activities, including liquidity planning, cash management, funding requirements, foreign-exchange exposure, and counterparty risk.Ensure the fund maintains sufficient liquidity and financial flexibility to meet its investment commitments and operating requirements.Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and governance frameworks that protect the institution’s assets and reputation.Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, internal policies, and institutional governance expectations.Oversee external audits, tax matters, financial controls, and relationships with auditors, banking partners, advisors, and other financial stakeholders.Strengthen enterprise risk management capabilities in partnership with investment, legal, compliance, and operational leadership.Identify and manage financial, liquidity, market, operational, and portfolio-level risks.Lead the continued modernization of the finance function, including systems, data, analytics, reporting, automation, and operating processes.Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance organization with the capabilities required to support a sophisticated global investment platform.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, institutional discipline, and continuous improvement.Represent the organization with credibility and discretion in interactions with government stakeholders, board members, investment partners, financial institutions, and other external constituencies.Key QualificationsProven experience as a Chief Financial Officer, Deputy CFO, or senior finance executive within a sovereign wealth fund, institutional investment platform, private equity firm, asset manager, pension fund, family office, or similarly complex financial institution.Significant experience overseeing financial strategy, planning, reporting, treasury, governance, controls, and risk management.Strong understanding of institutional investing, portfolio construction, investment performance, valuation, and multi-asset-class reporting.Demonstrated experience supporting complex investments, transactions, strategic partnerships, or portfolio-management activities.Experience operating within a global, highly regulated, and multi-stakeholder environment.Track record of modernizing finance functions, strengthening governance, and improving financial systems, reporting, and decision support.Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards, investment committees, government stakeholders, and senior institutional leaders.Experience leading and developing large, geographically dispersed, or highly specialized finance teams.International experience and familiarity with the Middle East are strongly preferred.A CPA, CFA, MBA, or other relevant financial or investment qualification is
