Job Title: Chief Financial OfficerFunction: FinanceLocation: UAE, DubaiOverview: The CFO is responsible for managing all financial and accounting activities, ensuring adherence to established financial policies and guidelines, international standards, and global best practices, and overseeing the company's financial actions. The CFO is also in charge of tracking cash flow, analysing strengths/weaknesses in the company’s finances and overseeing all aspects of its financial success.Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesDevelop and continuously evaluate the financial short- and long-term strategy, strategic financial objectives, and offer recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities.Contribute to achieving the objectives through timely, sound, and effective financial counsel to the CEO.Identify and address potential financial risks for the companyDirect and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the company.Oversee and direct the preparation of the company's budget, ensuring adequate provision for all priority activities and monitoring and controlling expenditure against the approved budget.Oversee the development, maintenance, implementation, and adherence to the department's policies and procedures to ensure that all relevant procedures are fulfilled in line with the requirements while maintaining high efficiency in achieving objectives.Oversee the definition and implementation of financial governance, accounting, and reporting standards and guidelines, ensuring their alignment with all relevant international standards, regulatory and internal controls, and global best practices.Ensure adequate internal control systems for the accuracy and adequacy of accounting records and documentation, including the availability of appropriate manuals and standard practice instructions.Direct the development and consolidation of the annual budget, ensuring the continuous monitoring of financial performance against the budget.Oversee the development of the financing strategy based on managing capital expenditures and monitoring expected return.Oversee the preparation of financial due diligence, financial modelling & valuations, financial projections, and other types of financial analysis to support decisions related to potential acquisitions and joint ventures.Control all Finance reports and transactions to ensure their compliance with international Accounting and Financial reporting standards, e.g., IFRS, etc., and company financial policies and standards.Oversee the financial reporting process, ensuring the preparation of periodical management reports, reviewing progress against financial plans and budgets.Oversee treasury and cash management activities, ensuring adequate liquidity to constantly meet the short-term and long-term financial requirements, and ensuring optimal allocation and utilisation of funds.Present the monthly performance management reports to the CEO and Chairman, highlight areas that require attention, and propose initiatives and recommendations for corrective actionsServe as a role model to ensure employees' awareness and commitment to the vision, mission, values, fundamentals, and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated workforce and continuously improve performance.Oversee the overall performance of the function and ensure KPIs are well developed, cascaded, communicated, and monitored.Ensure ongoing professional development of the function's employees and guide the performance management and developmental activities of direct and indirect reports.Required Competencies, Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum of 15 years of experience with 8 years in a managerial role.Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.Professional certification in Accounting & Finance, such as CPA / CA / ACCA / CFA, is preferred.Ability to strategise and solve problems.Strong leadership and organisational skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Creative thinking skills and ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and drive for results.
