THE OPPORTUNITYWe are seeking an exceptional executive to join a privately owned international investment and holding group with diversified interests across private equity, operating companies, real estate and global financial investments.This is not a traditional Chief Financial Officer role.We are looking for a commercially minded executive who combines outstanding financial leadership with investment oversight, operational engagement and strategic judgement.The successful candidate will become one of the Chairman’s principal advisers and will play a critical leadership role in strengthening governance, improving transparency, monitoring investments and building an institutional-quality finance and investment platform.This position requires an executive who enjoys understanding businesses from the inside—not simply reviewing financial statements after the fact.THE ROLEThe Chief Financial & Investment Officer will be responsible for the overall financial leadership, governance and investment oversight of the Group’s international activities.Working directly with the Chairman and in close partnership with the General Manager, the successful candidate will establish disciplined reporting systems, strengthen financial controls, oversee international structures, monitor portfolio companies and provide strategic support on acquisitions, capital allocation and long-term value creation.The role requires frequent interaction with portfolio company management teams, Board members, banks, trustees, auditors, tax advisers and other strategic partners.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial Leadership* Lead the Group’s finance function across all entities and jurisdictions.* Oversee accounting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting and cash management.* Direct the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.* Ensure timely, accurate and insightful financial reporting.* Lead tax planning in coordination with international advisers.* Develop and maintain best-in-class financial policies, internal controls and governance frameworks.Investment Oversight* Build and maintain institutional-quality reporting for all investments.* Monitor the operational and financial performance of portfolio companies.* Develop meaningful KPIs and management dashboards.* Coordinate periodic valuations of private investments.* Review business plans, budgets and strategic initiatives submitted by portfolio companies.* Participate in Board meetings, Advisory Boards and Investment Committees where appropriate.* Identify operational risks and opportunities for value creation.* Evaluate acquisitions, disposals and strategic investment opportunities.Governance & Strategic Leadership* Serve as the Chairman’s principal adviser on finance, governance and investment matters.* Coordinate governance across international holding structures.* Maintain relationships with trustees, banking partners, auditors and legal advisers.* Improve visibility across the investment portfolio through disciplined reporting and regular business reviews.* Build institutional processes that support long-term growth, transparency and accountability.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPSReports Directly To ChairmanThe CFIO serves as the Chairman’s principal adviser on finance, investments, governance, risk management and capital allocation.Works Closely With General ManagerThe CFIO will work in close partnership with the General Manager to ensure the successful execution of the Group’s strategic objectives.
