As Chief Finance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining this success while helping the organisation deliver its ambitious plans for the future.Working alongside the Chief Executive, Board and Executive Team, you will provide strategic financial leadership across the organisation. You'll lead the development and delivery of the financial strategy, business plan and treasury strategy, ensuring long-term sustainability while supporting growth, investment and innovation. As a trusted adviser, you will influence decision-making at the highest level, providing clear financial insight and constructive challenge to support organisational performance and future opportunities.This is a broad Executive leadership role with responsibility for financial governance, treasury management, business planning, risk management and regulatory compliance. You'll oversee financial planning, forecasting and business modelling, maintain strong relationships with lenders, auditors and regulators, and ensure the organisation continues to operate with robust financial controls and a resilient funding position. At the same time, you'll lead and develop a high-performing finance function, embedding a strong business partnering approach and driving continuous improvement in systems, reporting and data insight.About YouWe're looking for an experienced, commercially astute and values-driven finance leader who is equally comfortable shaping long-term strategy as they are leading operational excellence.You will bring:Executive or Director-level finance leadership experience within social housing, local government or another regulated sector.A recognised professional accounting qualification (CCAB, CIMA or equivalent).Significant experience in financial strategy, treasury management, business planning and financial modelling.Experience of leading finance transformation and continuous improvement activity, modernising systems, processes and ways of working to strengthen Finance's role as a strategic enabler of organisational performance, change and growth.Strong expertise in governance, statutory reporting, audit, risk management and internal controls.The credibility to influence Boards, Executive Teams, lenders, regulators and external stakeholders.A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to develop high-performing teams and build strong relationships across the organisation.Experience within supported housing, ESG reporting, organisational transformation or regulatory engagement would be advantageous but is not essential.Why Golden Lane Housing?Established by Mencap and now an independent Community Benefit Society, Golden Lane Housing provides homes for more than 3,000 people and is driven by a simple but powerful purpose: helping people with a learning disability and autistic people find and enjoy suitable, safe homes.
