Position: Chief Financial Officer

Location: New YorkComp: $250,000 - $300,000Schedule – RemoteWe are partnered with a mid-market specialty finance lender who are looking to hire a Chief Financial Officer.

Acting as a strategic partner to the CEO, you will own all aspects of finance, accounting, fund strategy, and financial operations. You will be driving business strategy while also getting significant visibility across the organization, and a direct involvement into key decisions that will impact loan performance, fund relationships, and long-term expansion initiatives.The ideal candidate will bring deep experience within specialty finance, consumer lending, auto finance, fintech, or related lending environments, along with a proven ability to lead finance organizations and partner with executive stakeholders to drive business performance.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with business objectives and growth initiatives.Lead all aspects of capital markets, funding, liquidity management, and lender relationships.Oversee portfolio analytics, financial performance monitoring, forecasting, and profitability analysis.Direct accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit, tax, and financial controls.Partner with executive leadership to evaluate strategic opportunities, investments, and operational initiatives.Establish and maintain risk management frameworks to support sustainable growth and regulatory compliance.Present financial performance, strategic initiatives, and key metrics to senior leadership, investors, lenders, and board stakeholders.Drive process improvements, reporting enhancements, and scalable financial infrastructure.Build, develop, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting organization.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant advanced designation strongly preferred.10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior-level management responsibilities.Experience within one or more of the following sectors:Subprime Auto FinanceConsumer LendingSpecialty FinanceIndirect LendingFinTechWarehouse LendingDemonstrated experience managing banking, capital provider, investor, and lender relationships.Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, liquidity management, and performance measurement.Proven track record of partnering with executive teams to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence.Experience presenting to boards of directors, investors, lenders, and other key stakeholders.Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills with the ability to develop and mentor high-performing teams.
