We are a private equity owned, residential services company and are looking for a Chief Financial Officer to be the steward of financial and operational success for the company. We are looking for someone with not only a strong finance acumen but also an operational mindset that loves getting into the business, learning what makes it tick, and leveraging technology and data to drive value across the organization. The ideal candidate will be someone who thinks through the lens of technology and can build meaningful stories through data that internal partners can leverage up, down, and across the organization to achieve their goals.ResponsibilitiesGuide the Company by implementing sound financial controls, metrics and financial dashboardsDevelop and utilize a system of key metrics and financial measurements tools that will be used to help measure operating performance and drive managerial decision makingResponsible for all long range financial matters and to establish company-wide financial and administrative objectivesServe as an advisor to the corporate teams in the creation, definition, and management of goals, including roadmaps, market trends, KPIs, opportunity and risk analysis, and more.Evaluate, implement and maintain all financial and accounting systems as well as improve on all existing systemsOversees and implements merger integration, Add-on acquisitions initiatives, and covenants complianceGenerate monthly financial statement packages for management and prospective investorsEnsure data integrity of the General Ledger and reconciliation of all Sub-Ledger accounts across entitiesEnsure the maintenance of appropriate financial records and preparation of financial reportsCreate scorecard / dashboard for each service line offeringKeep CEO informed with real-time metric /dashboard reports and recommend new or revised policies or programs when neededAssist the sales department in analyzing gross margins by service line and make suggestions to increase top-line revenue and profitabilityDevelop annual budgets and oversee financial planning and analysisPreparation of Long-Term Financial Planning and Financial Modeling, including preparing Targeted, Best Case & Worst Case analysis including Five Year Rolling PlanDevelopment and adherence to agreed upon financial reporting deadlines, company policies, and departmental procedures as well as organize financial informationQualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related (required)CPA preferredExperience working in a private equity environment required10+ years of successful experience with small to middle-market companies, preferably within the specialty trade services sectors (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, construction, etc.)Proven ability to create, implement (or improve upon), and utilize a System of Key Metrics and Financial Measurements (IE: Benchmarking, Scorecarding & Financial Dashboards ) used to measure operating performance and help drive managerial decision makingA role model of integrity, strong work ethic, team player with impressive business acumenAction oriented with a strong sense of urgency and is hands-onAppreciates and thrives within an entrepreneurial environment
