This executive will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and Board, providing the insight and financial discipline needed to support growth, improve operational performance, and make sound capital and investment decisions.The CFO will lead finance, accounting, treasury, reporting, and compliance while strengthening financial processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure. Working closely with the executive team, the CFO will translate financial data into actionable business insights, help guide strategic initiatives, and ensure the company is positioned to scale efficiently and profitably.This is a hands-on, business-oriented CFO opportunity for a leader who can balance financial stewardship with strategic thinking and who will play an important role in driving sustainable growth and long-term value creation.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business PartnershipServe as a trusted strategic partner to the CEO, executive leadership team, and Board, providing insight into financial performance, business risks, and opportunities.Lead the company’s long-term financial planning, annual budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling to support informed business decisions and sustainable growth.Translate financial and operational data into actionable insights and strategies that drive revenue growth, improve margins, strengthen cash flow, and enhance overall business performance.Financial Management & ReportingOversee the company’s financial reporting and accounting functions, ensuring accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial information to support sound business decisions.Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, establishing a disciplined and predictable reporting cadence.Oversee FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, KPI development, dashboarding, variance analysis, and financial performance reporting.Lead the company’s external audit process, including planning, coordination, and ongoing communication with external auditors.Ensure compliance with applicable tax, regulatory, and statutory reporting requirements while maintaining strong financial controls.Present financial results, business performance, and forward-looking insights to the Board, investors, lenders, and other key stakeholders.Capital Structure, Treasury & Cash ManagementLead the company’s capital strategy, including debt financing, capital structure, lender relationships, covenant compliance, and lender reporting.Manage liquidity and treasury operations, maintaining appropriate access to capital and ensuring sufficient cash to support ongoing operations and strategic growth initiatives.Optimize working capital and cash flow through disciplined cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and effective management of the company’s banking relationships.Operational Finance & Cross‑Functional LeadershipPartner with operations, sales, product, HR, and technology leaders to improve operational efficiency, strengthen business performance, and optimize unit economics.Drive cost management, pricing strategy, and margin optimization initiatives, using financial and operational analysis to identify opportunities to improve profitability and support sustainable growth.Provide financial oversight of procurement, vendor management, and commercial agreements, ensuring disciplined spending, effective contract terms, and alignment with the company’s financial objectives.Investor Relations & Stakeholder CommunicationServe as a key financial representative to the Board, investors, lenders, and other strategic stakeholders, providing clear, timely communication on company performance, financial outlook, and key business developments.Lead the development of Board and investor materials, financial narratives, and performance updates that clearly communicate results, key drivers, risks, opportunities, and the company’s forward-looking strategy.Partner with the CEO and executive team on fundraising, M&A, strategic transactions, and due diligence, including financial analysis, valuation, transaction structuring, and post-transaction integration.Team Leadership & DevelopmentBuild, lead, and develop a high-performing finance, accounting, and analytics organization capable of supporting the company’s growth and evolving needs.Lead with a hands-on, results-oriented approach, maintaining a strong understanding of the details while empowering a lean, high-caliber team to execute effectively.Establish a culture of accountability, transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the finance organization.Develop the finance team’s leadership capabilities and succession plan, building a strong bench of talent to support the company’s continued growth.Qualifications15+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, including significant experience in a CFO, VP Finance, or comparable senior finance leadership role.Strong technical foundation across GAAP, financial reporting, FP&A, treasury, internal controls, and financial planning.Experience leading finance in a high-growth, operationally complex, capital-intensive, or private equity-backed environment, with a track record of scaling financial processes and supporting business growth.Demonstrated experience managing capital structure, debt and lender relationships, liquidity, and investor or Board communications.Proven ability to operate as a strategic business partner, with strong analytical, commercial, and communication skills and the ability to influence decisions across all levels of the organization.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.Ideal Candidate - The successful CFO will be a disciplined financial leader and strategic business partner who combines strong financial acumen with practical, hands-on execution.
