Location: Remote (US), EST or NYC area preferredSalary: $300,000 - $375,000 base plus bonus, equityThe CompanyOur client is a high growth cross border payments fintech and is launching its own OCC chartered national bank and is assembling a founding executive team to build and run it.This is a rare chance to join a de novo bank at the start, backed by a proven, revenue generating parent business.The OpportunityThe Bank is hiring its first Chief Financial Officer to build the finance function from the ground up.

You will own the balance sheet, capital and liquidity of a newly chartered national bank, serve as the primary finance voice to the OCC and the Board, and shape how the bank and its fintech parent work together as the business scales.What You Will DoBuild the finance function. Stand up accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, treasury and the controls environment, and hire the team to run them.Capital and liquidity. Own capital planning, liquidity management, ALM and interest rate risk, and lead ALCO. Deliver against the business plan and capital commitments made in the charter.Regulatory reporting. Own Call Reports and all regulatory financial reporting, and lead the finance side of OCC examinations with a clean record.Board and regulators. Present financial results, budgets and strategy to the Board, Audit Committee and regulators, and build credibility with each.Parent and affiliate relationships. Structure intercompany arrangements, transfer pricing and affiliate transaction controls (Sections 23A/23B) between the bank and its fintech parent.Audit and controls. Manage external auditors, internal audit findings and SOX style controls, and select and implement finance systems alongside the core banking platform.What You Will BringPrior bank CFO experience is required, ideally at a de novo, recently chartered or high growth bank where you built rather than inherited the function.Direct experience with the OCC (examinations, charter conditions or supervisory relationships) is strongly preferred, Federal Reserve and FDIC exposure would also be considered.Deep command of bank capital, liquidity, ALM, Call Reports and GAAP for banks.Confidence presenting to a Board and regulators, and a track record of clean exam and audit outcomes.A builder's mindset: comfortable in a fast moving, founder led environment and with a fintech parent.CPA strongly preferred.Nice to HaveTrust or fiduciary activities exposure.Payments, cross border or digital asset / stablecoin experience.Experience organizing a de novo bank or working through a charter application.Why This RoleA founding C suite seat at a newly chartered national bank, with the scope to design the function your way.A proven parent business with real volume and revenue, not a pre revenue startup.Competitive base plus meaningful bonus and equity upside.
