The Job SummaryThe Chief Financial Officer is responsible for providing leadership and direction related to financial activities ensuring alignment with BTC strategic goals; spearheading development and implementation of financial governance framework and internal controls; developingand maintaining high-level relations with banks and financial institutions; overseeing day-to-day finance operation for BTC that includes GL transactions posting, cashflow, liquidity, treasury, payments, project finance, credit, payroll, invoicing, collections, Zakat & VAT andasset management working closely with Operations; participating in board meetings and various board committees.Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities1) Corporate Strategy Implementation Actively participate in development of BTC corporate strategy providing accurate and credible financial data, information, analysis, insight andrecommendations for developing or updating BTC corporate strategy. Acting as BTC CEO’s trusted confidante, strategic advisor and implementor, oversee seamless implementation of BTC corporate strategy andrecommend financial strategy and solutions aligned with BTC strategy, vision, mission, strategic objectives, goals, growth, performance,profitability, and corporate turnaround mandate. Understand the market dynamics of the car rental industry and assist in developing strategies to take advantage of market opportunities from afinancial perspective.2) Financial Governance Framework & Internal Controls Establish and implement BTC Financial governance framework translating strategic plans into actionable operational goals. Spearhead development of financial governance framework that includes policies, processes, internal controls and protocols to ensure effectivedelivery of the company strategy. Ensure strict compliance of BTC internal controls and protocols providing guidance to all internal stakeholders. Identify gaps and provide support and direction to eliminate gaps and inefficiencies. Implement BTC practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial operations. Coordinate with various departments to integrate and streamline financial processes. Resolve issues between Finance and Operations through effective communication and mutually beneficial solutions. Implement processes to prevent future disputes and ensure smooth collaboration between functions / departments. Ensure robust internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets and financial integrity.3) Financial Planning, Consolidation, Analysis & Reporting With fiduciary responsibility of BTC financial health and performance, plan, actively monitor and analyze financial status, BTC business andfinancial performances. Work closely with BTC functional / departmental heads, compile data and analysis for BTC monthly, quarterly, and annual performance with anemphasis on targeted profitability through operational efficiency and report to the BTC CEO on a regular basis. Report BTC performance against set strategic goals, business goals and objectives to the BTC CEO as well as the BTC Board through dashboardsand standard reporting templates consolidating all financial & accounting data, information, analysis & results. Ensure all financial performance related tools, templates, dashboards and key performance metrics are in place to provide the BTC CEO with an in-depth revenue and operating expenses insight, track spending, profitability, headcount and potential risks/opportunities. Oversee month-end closing in a timely and accurate manner and report to the BTC CEO with an in-depth analysis.4) Finance & Accounting Operation Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting functionality that includes financial planning, consolidation, analysis and reporting as well asaccounting, account receivables & payables, Zakat & VAT, invoicing, payroll, treasury & bank relations, GL transactions posting, cashflow, liquidity,project finance, credit, payroll, collections, and asset management etc. Provide invaluable support in developing BTC business plans with an emphasis on financial growth and profitability targets. Oversee the process of month-end closing for BTC providing direction and support to finance & accounting teams. Oversee day-to-day finance functionality for on-going BTC projects within KSA or abroad that serve company’s growth and business developmentagenda based on project management principles collaborating with BTC management as well as the customer. Ensure all necessary systems and tools are in place to result in optimum performance of BTC finance function developing full understanding andawareness of organizational expectations. Review all contracts from a financial perspective, ensuring that the BTC interests are protected. Oversee treasury function along with the liquidity management process to ensure timely cash management to meet all short term and long-termobligations. Oversee treasury functions, including cash flow management, liquidity planning, and investment strategies. Oversee cash flow management to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs of all BTC projects within KSA & abroad. Conduct regular reviews of cash flow projections and financial statements. Approve financial transactions ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Oversee the processing of payments and payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Ensure all BTC assets are protected by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls to manage them accordingly. Maintain high level relations with the external auditors and provide full support to internal audit function in completion of company’s annualinternal audit calendar in a professional and timely manner. Provide visionary leadership to the Finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of accountability, and collaboration.5) Credit Management & Financial Risk Analysis Identify and mitigate financial risks by developing and implementing comprehensive risk management strategies, policies, internal controls andprotocols ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards. Oversee credit functionality that includes credit approvals, collections, and maintaining relationships with banks and financial institutions. Oversee development and implementation of BTC credit policies to minimize exposure and maximize collections. Actively participate in Credit & Collections Committee meetings and share risk analysis and insights through credible facts, figures and rationale.6) Contracts & Agreements Review Review and negotiate contracts and agreements form a financial perspective to ensure favorable terms and compliance with company policies. Sign contracts on behalf of the company, as and when falling within the CFO authority matrix, ensuring all agreements are legally sound and, in the company’s BTC interest. Assess the financial and operational impact of agreements and provide recommendations to the CEO. Ensure all contracts and agreements align with BTC strategic objectives and legal requirements.7) VAT &Zakat Operation Oversee VAT, Zakat and all other taxation related planning, administration and analysis ensuring the organization complies with KSA rules andregulations. Oversee preparation of consolidated Zakat statements, file Zakat returns and manage Zakat audits in an accurate and timely manner. Keep abreast of all VAT-related laws and rules and manage VAT implementation strategies, executing VAT compliance & planning across theorganization. Review, validate and ensure timely submission of all required VAT returns, supporting schedules and any documentation/responses as required byGAZT (General Authority for Zakat &; Tax – Saudi Arabia).8) Budgeting, Cost Optimization & Resources Allocation Working closely with BTC CEO and functional / departmental heads, spearhead development of BTC annual budget and ensure the budgeting cycleand processes conform to annual budget plans and actual spending remains within the set budget with a focus on cost optimization. Oversee allocation of all required resources (manpower; assets; equipment; materials) with cost effectiveness and provide direction in formulatingstrategies that result in positive and cost-effective financial impact. Monitor budget and control expenses effectively, directing corrective actions as necessary in accordance with the company policy. Keep a hawk’s eye on budget spendings closely monitoring budget plan verses actual spending / expenditures, overall financial performance andreport to the BTC CEO. Endorse any budget enhancement to the BTC CEO during the year based on operational / business needs, functional heads’ recommendationswith solid rationale, credible facts and figures.9) Stakeholder Relations & Networking Develop and maintain good working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders that include top-tier customers, BTC Board ofDirectors and committee members, banks and financial institutions, external auditors, government entities and all BTC functional heads. Develop and maintain high level interpersonal relationships with key banks and financial institutions to arrange financing in order to lease out therequired fleet for BTC projects. Collaborate with other Alissa Group sister companies’ management & financial heads in automotive business that lead to mutual benefits, revenuegeneration, profitability and growth in line with the Group overall growth agenda. Work closely with the Board of Directors and Board Committee members maintaining high level interpersonal relations and thus establishing acohesive platform to effectively achieve the targeted strategic business goals and objectives. Engage, interact and communicate with all stakeholders on a regular basis to develop and maintain their trust and engagement to the company.10) KPIs Development & Monitoring Performances Nurture performance and accountability culture through KPIs amongst all BTC financial staff. Monitor individual performances & achievements of all business leaders within Finance function on a monthly basis aligning BTC set corporate &strategic objectives with business leaders heads’ individual performances. Oversee the performance of all BTC finance business leaders and staff to drive maximum performance and achieve their KPIs targetedachievements exhibiting highest-level of leadership and direction. MBA in Finance is a plus. Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CMA or CFA are preferred.Experience Minimum 15 years’ experience in finance or accounting, out of which a minimum of 5 years in a similar capacity in car rental industry. Extensive experience in managing finance teams in the car rental industry. Demonstrated experience in financial strategy planning, reporting & analysis, budgeting and forecasting in automotive environment.Essential Job Requisites Competent knowledge in English and Arabic, Spoken and Written. Car Rental industry knowledge and background preferred. Automotive industry experience is a plus. Solid track record in the car rental industry with an emphasis on managing operational / project managers within KSA or the Middle East. Leadership & management skills with an emphasis on emotional intelligence. High level inter-personal, analytical, inter-personal, analytical, team building and communication skills. High-level problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong business and commercial acumen Project management acumen with an emphasis on Finance Result & detail-oriented and persuasive Has customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering quality services High ethical standards and commitment to integrity Expertise in ERP & MS Office
