Chief Financial Officer | Johannesburg | PermanentAn established, purpose-led financial services organisation is seeking an experienced CFO to join its executive team.This is a broad leadership opportunity for a commercially minded finance executive who can help shape strategy, guide investment and funding decisions, strengthen financial governance and lead a high-performing finance function. The organisation supports SME growth through tailored finance and business support.Key responsibilitiesLead financial strategy, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance management.Oversee treasury, liquidity, capital management, funding facilities and funder relationships.Advise the Managing Director, Executive Committee and Board on financial performance, investment decisions and long-term plans.Maintain strong financial controls, governance, audit, tax and regulatory compliance.Provide oversight of lending-related reporting, impairments, ECL and provisioning.Lead and develop the finance team and drive finance transformation, including a significant SAP upgrade.The ideal candidateCA(SA), with an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification and executive development.At least 15 years of progressive finance experience, including eight years in senior financial leadership.CFO or executive finance experience in financial services, banking, investment management, development finance or a related sector.Commercial lending or SME finance experience, with strong stakeholder and board engagement.Property finance or investment experience would be advantageous.The position is office-based initially, with a transition to hybrid working thereafter.
